Anyone else here ever play guitar hero? That has to be the most addicting game that I have ever played. I can definitely bust out the 100 percent on medium and below. I might get a few on hard but I'm struggling past the expert difficulty. There was a time at which I was making my own songs for my modded PS2. Those were the days. But then my PS2 broke and now I'm in withdrawl. Give it up for the only reason to still play the PS2 besides God of War 2 that is.

Remnant: From the Ashes is an action role-playing third person shooter developed by Gunfire Games. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 20, 2019. Remnant is definitely a "Souls like game", but rather than simply being melee combat, it incorporates a third person shooter element where the player can wield up to two gun weapons, one main weapon and one side arm, alongside their melee weapon.

great article on why people play the opposite sex so often in games, when there's the option. PluggedIn: Gamers bend gender for a winning edge By Lisa Baertlein LOS ANGELES, July 28 (Reuters) - When men appear as buxom, scantily clad females in video games like "World of Warcraft," it is more about winning than finding an outlet for a real-world affinity for gender bending. "It has nothing to do with exploration of sexual identity," said Brenda Brathwaite, a game developer who delved into the subject for her book "Sex in Video Games," set for release this fall. While there are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender-friendly groups that operate within massively multiplaye…

The first I heard of the widespread hate towards them was after the much-maligned ending of 'Mass Effect 3', and of course, the Origin debacle. Did those two things simply combine and irritate people, or is there another reason from way back when? Franchise-milking, perhaps?

  11. I checked out some E3 stuff over the weekend. Some interesting stuff. I had pretty much felt that gaming industry was stuck in a rut but the new promotional efforts are showing some promise: The bethesda softworks stuff looked well done. Fallout 4's vision of post-nuclear Boston looks the most interesting and derives from Fallout 3. The modern version of Doom- the classic shooter- is retro and is different at the same time; also now relies on speed and close action for survival. Deus Ex has excellent graphics and looks like a significant upgrade from Human revolution. Most certainly these modern games have had a significant leap forward in terms of graphics an…

I've gotten my main to 70, geared out as much as I care to be right now, and I'm seriously considering rolling a new toon on World of Warcraft. I know I'll be playing a Blood Elf, and I have the look (hair style/color, face) picked out, but I can't decide which class to play. So help me decide guys. I've listed a tiny bit of info on the classes I'm considering as well as a few pics of the armor that goes along with the classes and what my toon would look like. Mage: Mages wield the elements of fire, frost, and the arcane to destroy or neutralize their enemies. They are a robed class that excels at dealing massive damage from afar, casting elemental bolts at a single t…

Arrives in under two weeks. I'm really excited about this title, probably more so than any of the recent TR reboots or remakes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEOOishb5fY They seem to have incorporated Skyrim-style gameplay elements, which I can only applaud.

I haven't played either of the first two games, but Saints Row: The Third was an absolute blast, and ridiculously over the top. An announce trailer just came out the other day for IV, which is due out end of August. Seems as though what was originally planned as an expansion for III has been rebadged and expanded to be a whole new game now. Looks a bit more-of-the-same, with some small additions (and seemingly superpowers), but I guess it's not all bad since I enjoyed III so much. Time will tell exactly what it is though, and whether or not it's worth the price tag

Aah... I remember my childhood when I used to play video games on that... I still have it, and I think that it's a very underrated machine (and forgotten, above all). The games were fun and extremely playable... I also used to write simple programs in Basic (computer language). What's also very cool about C64 is that it has a pretty complex sound processor (of course, when you think of technology in the 80's). I will never get rid of my 'Commie'. More info on this wonderful machine: Wikipedia -> Commodore 64 c64.org

Gears DLC out this week [uPDATE] Two free bonus multiplayer maps for GameSpot's Game of the Year will be on Xbox Live Marketplace on Wednesday; patch to be released tomorrow. Fans of Epic Games' Gears of War have logged plenty of hours in the game over Xbox Live, chainsawing each other to pieces in just about every nook and cranny of the game's 10 multiplayer maps. This Wednesday, gamers will have some new places to dismember, shoot, and curb-stomp opponents, because Microsoft has announced that it is releasing two new multiplayer maps for Gears of War over Xbox Live. As previously mentioned by Epic president Mike Capps, the content will be free to download. The content i…
