Not sure if it belongs here but I fucking love this style! Drum and bass (also written as "drum 'n' bass" and commonly abbreviated to D&B or DnB, also known as Jungle) is a type of electronic dance music which emerged in the mid 1990s. The genre is characterized by fast breakbeats (typically between 160–190 bpm, occasional variation is noted in older compositions), with heavy bass and sub-bass lines. Drum and bass began as an offshoot of the United Kingdom rave scene of the very early 1990s. Over the first decade of its existence, the incorporation of elements from various musical genres led to many permutations in its overall style. Some youtube clips: Feel …

  9. What are your favorite Disney Songs ? Please say who you voted for, give general favs ect. Also, as so why such and such may be missing I do acknowledge that there are of course many great songs but I don't like to overload poll choices (for the sake of competitiveness). Songs are also chosen and ordered by estimated familiarity with our BZ demographic. Enjoy ! Note: More Songs will be added for Part 2... *Edit* Changed to General Discussion .

I think there's something really captivating about cover songs. They're often atrocious, but sometimes wonderful, and more often than not give you a different perspective of a song when an artist can inject their own style and personality into it. So basically what I'd like to do is gather a bunch of nominations, then give everyone the chance to vote on how much they like or dislike them. I'm thinking that it will go something like this: - One song (two versions) per round - Both versions of the song will be provided via YouTube to give those unfamiliar with the songs a chance to rate them - You give an objective rating of the original song out of 10, on its own merit…

  16. All of the other instruments are usually anyone's game to most people. However, many see the drums, bass and the electric guitar (not the acoustic as much) to be a man's game generally. That said, there are women that hold their own in these departments .

This is a conversation continuing from another thread... I love Canon. My Dad bought me a EOS 650 when I was 8... we found it at a garage sale for $7!!! Took many many pictures with that... we used to keep a garbage bin in the car because we would drive around and eat in the car all the time and I kept the camera there just in case... then it accidentally got thrown out Easy come easy go I guess. I totally hear you on the gadget geekiness though... now I'm into audio equipment. Behold... the beast I get to play with every other Sunday One Digidesign Venue Live Audio Mixing Console... one the first ones in Canada... A live show sound guy's wet dream. Ha…

http://www.myspace.com/geminipl The band was formed after the summer of 2009 by the master Felipe. The idea behind it was to gather a group of creative musicians from different bands that could constitute an ensemble playing music that is sophisticated, ambitious and yet accessible. Musically, gemiNi draws from many genres, mainly alternative and progressive rock, pop-rock and trip-hop. The songs were recorded at a recent rehearsal. Enjoy. And comment.
