Blues is one of my favorites genres, and also one of my biggest influences. It is also the biggest influence and the base for almost all of today's popular music, from Jazz, going through Soul, Rhythm and Blues, Pop, Funk, Rap, and being also the origins of Rock n' Roll, Hard Rock and even the most brutal Metal genres you can imagine. Help!!! I'm puting together a music CD for a fashion show but have no idea what kinds of music to use! (I'm a C&W kind of guy...) Can anyone help me out? I've download various fashion show vids and would love to find the music and make a CD but I don't even know the names and artists... Crazy huh? Anyways - any help would certainly be appreciated! Seen a few complaints in another thread that rock has died in the new millenium, but I find this is totally untrue and this thread means to prove it. Maybe some have this theory in mind, because rock is different than it used to be, not such mainstream huge bands to hit the charts, but it is definitely there. Spread into different subgenres of course, but it has been like that before. I still see important bands continuing to put out great records as well as there are plenty new bands of course to rock the scenes. Like the backstreet boys and the spice girls? Seriously it's awesome, really much better than music today no matter what anyone says. I'd rather have good overly produced, "sugar-coated" music than real crappy "down to earth" music. Like seriously who cares if it's a good song. I don't know how many times I've listen to "I want it that way" in the past few weeks, but definitely a lot.

Researchers were trying to find out what people's taste in music revealed about their lifestyles. The UK study also revealed that blues buffs are the most likely to have received a driving penalty. Hip hop and dance music fans were more likely to have multiple sex partners and were among the biggest drug-takers surveyed. Have anyone here heard this band? I think they're awesome. They play slow, hypnotizing metal with prog elements. Very melancholic at times... I recommend them to you.
