This thread works by someone asking if anyone knows a band/singer that sounds like a particular favourite of theirs. For example, If someone asked for a band that sounded like Coldplay, someone else could say Snow Patrol, or Keane or whatever. I recently started listening to Megadeth fairly heavily. Now, quite a long time ago I had gotten the album Youthanasia from the local library, and I really liked it. After that I always found some reason to keep putting off buying an album. Finally, this Christmas I used one of my gift cards to buy Rust In Peace. I was deeply impressed. I was expecting an album with a few good tracks, and a lot of filler. But it's really solid all the way through; sure, some tracks aren't as good as "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due" or "Hangar 18," but songs like "Poison Was The Cure" and "Lucretia," that aren't nearly as well known, are brilliant.
