Hi, I had trouble posting a few models for people to ID here the last couple of days, and I had some problems of it ether not getting posted or difficulties editing. I do many of my art/photo/scan work on my Mac, and I am using the default Safari browser. I haven't tried Firefox on my office PC that much. I thought I'd bring it up to see whether or not others have had problems. Thanks!

There are a couple models, perhaps a bit obscure, that I fancy and would like to know their names. Is there a place on BZ where I can post a photo of each one and ask if any of the membership knows their names?

Can we get rid of tags of models names like this? There is no reason for a models name to be a tag because they are only allowed one topic. Tags for models should be reserved for things such as nationality, physical attributes, types of modeling such as catalog, swimwear, runway etc, decades active ie things that don’t change. Agencies shouldn’t be tagged either those change too often.

does it possible to create a thread in the fashion shows section about the fall winter 1991-1992 ? i found many rare videos of different designers' runways and it would be a bit ridiculous to create maybe near of 30 different threads certainly without answer...

There are so many people who scan magazines and procure campaign images. Some of them are into the models while the other are more in it for the art of it. Most of the frequent posters on this forum, also post on other forums. While I prefer this forum, I use the others because I am able to find images of models. For instance, I use UMC to find catalog images and look books of models I like. I often identify those models at UMC and in exchange I am given the image codes of those models. While there are several UMC regulars who post on here, most of them aren't that active on here. The usual post stuff when they know the models name. They often post in the Model id sectio…

Whenever I click an image using Firefox I am taken to a page that only shows dots. If I click a dot sometimes I get an image other times I get a flashing image for an instant then only dots. What's with that.

I've tried to upload a few gifs as my avatar photo, and it uploads them as stills. Is this discontinued now?

I seem to remember there was a place on the board before for requesting particular images and so on. Is there a place like that now, am I just overlooking it somehow or is it no more?

I recently had a model identified and went about updating her thread. Yet it does not appear to have been bumped, or visible at all (?), in the Female Fashion Models subform. The issue persists even if I look at the forum in private/incognito mode:

I love that we have tags and there are so many good ones. Someone PMed me with a great idea. We should have a dictionary of useful tags. The best tags I have seen were from @Minerva13 who tagged her models by decade active. Since then, I been doing it too. Another person PMed with some great suggestions which I thought I share. I also added the most commonly used in this list that I have seen and make sense. The tags are useful to describe threads and help people find certain celebrities if their name isn't know to them. The forums are showing up weird for me. The left half of the screen are the posts and the right half of the screen is blank space. Please help.

I have been using the forum for years from my iPhone. After the recent forum changes to the user interface the search no longer works inside a particular thread. I used to be able to search within a thread and now when I tap the search button from inside a thread nothing happens. What can we do to restore this function?

I am not sure if we can request this. If we can, it would make this place so much easier for vintage lovers and model IDs. There are only a handful of us who really identify models but this could help others find what they are looking for. If this can be done, please reply to this message.

What happen to my previous post they dissappear?

Ever since the new format of this forum began, we have the ability to add tags which I like. Unfortunately, some people add the most ridiculously subjective tags to a model like beautiful, sexy, name, etc. Most of the people threads created here are considered beautiful, handsome, or sexy, so why bother using those types of tags. With models, there is no point putting a models agency in the tag because those aren't permanent facts. Similarly, I don't think people should have tags of so-and-so's girlfriend, unless that's all they are known for such as a WAG. Is there a way to remove tags as these types of tags are subjective and do not properly catalog information others…
