It translates to: my eternal boyfriend.

And as for the getting married or whatever, so be it. She's been with the dude for over a century, shouldn't be shocking if they get married. I guess it's the idea that it might actually be happening that is shocking people.

I think the word "namorado" means boyfriend but this doesn't mean she isn't engaged. Portuguese is a latin language, such as italian. In italian we don't have two different words for "boyfriend" and "fiance", to us it's still the same world ("fidanzato" or just "ragazzo" in italian) so I think it must be the same for other languages that come from latin. Just a guess tho. :idk:

I do think she wanted to confirm the engagement with that video and caption. Either way, I'm happy for them :)

It does mean "eternal boyfriend" or something like that, and we have different words for boyfriend (namorado) and fiance (noivo), but sometimes i see on social media people referring to their fiances/husbands as their "eternal boyfriends", especially on valentine's day and stuff, so idk, it's just a cute thing to say about your loved one  :hehe:
