At first, this ideology diffused because it looks "seducing" (you can't be against "progress", but... of course, these PC principles are deceptive and their manicheism is NOT a progress). I don't really get pieces like this.

 

They are giving the VSFS much more credit than it deserves. It was a-once-a-year TV special with an ever dwindling audience, partially due to changing times, partially due to the company's mishandling of the event (arguably starting in the late noughties).

 

But to give this solitary event so much credit/blame for body issues with teenaged girls is a bit preposterous imho.

Thank you, @Enrico_sw this made my night. 
I’m at the age now that my parental units were when I became a teen, and a lot of times I realized what they meant about a lot of things that I blew off as a teen. (I’m sorry mom and dad)

 

I remember when the PC “movement” basically started, and it basically was to just mind your words and actions to not be  a jerk about anything and everything. To maybe not use stereotypes or slurs. 
 

Now it’s morphed and changed And grew into this massive shit show that if you say hi to someone you’re insulting your rights as a live being. 
It is something, in my mind, that seriously needs to stop.

PC is good when it confronts rampant racism in society and teaches the right lessons, it went too far when it diversified aggressively into a sorts of niche sub-issues like transgender and so forth.  

 

Worse, it created the 24-7 rambling and obnoxious Anti-SJW right wing media that defensively/offensively responds to it all the time.
