Taben Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 i think i bought mine 1 year ago... but i read iPod batteries have a limited cycle of loads, you can only load them so many times, after you have to change them so maybe i've reached the limit... i've also read it costs around 80euros to get new batteries so i think i'll just buy a new iPod instead Quote
Ack Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 My Ipod broke down after a year. I just but a cheap imitation after that and it's working for 2.5 years now and you don't have to use Itunes. Quality of the sound is pretty much the same.. Quote
Taben Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 yeah i know, that's what a lot of my friend keep saying and i have to agree: there is way less expensice and better stuff than what apple makes but i don't know... i really love the iPods' designs Quote
Nicola Trunfio Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 damn, seems like i'll face some troubles soon Quote

I'm in love with my MacBook, but with Macs you actually experience the difference because you use OSX instead of Windows. But Ipods versus Imitations...you save money...the quality is the same and some have great designs also.. Quote

garion34 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I have a strong dislike towards Ipods. Not because they awful, although I don't think they're great, but because it seems like most people who buy them really don't know what’s out there. The other companies, Iriver, Archos, Cowon, and Creative (although there beginning to market their players strongly) have players out that most people have never heard of. Some of them happy to be very good. This isn't to say that Ipods are a good fit for many people out there.Take Ipods video capabilities for instance, In my opinion, buying an Ipod mainly because you want to watch video on airplanes is a joke. Ipods have a pitiful battery life for video and a crappy screen compared to other players on the market. You want to watch video get a player made by Archos of the Cowon A2. The A2 can play video for around 9 hours. The Ipod can play video for what 3 or 4 hours? Ipods are definetly not the best fit for video.I'm just saying people should research the products first before they make a purchase. Most poeple I meet haven't. Just because Ipod has a incredibly strong marketing campaign and the Itunes, doesn't mean you should buy one unquestioningly. Use sites tech sites (such as Cnet.com and PCmag.com and mp3 forums to make educated decisions. Quote
Adrianas Llama Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 no, they have to be mp4, so get a converter like videora Quote
