A direct flight from NYC to LA is ~6 hours and LA is three hours behind NYC. Kimmel tapes his show at 4 PM, so whoever is on the cover could still be in NYC now and either take a red eye or morning flight tomorrow. 

Well, Kate Upton was seen leaving LAX so we at least know she's in LA, if the rumors are true.

Still hoping that the cover goes to one of these three: Hannah Ferguson, Rose Bertram or Barbara Palvin. I can see justifications for why each woman would be a good choice for the cover. Hannah Ferguson: long-standing work for SI, embodying the SI girl look. Barbara Palvin: a top model, huge potential to go to the next level in her career, in the public’s eye and SI getting a lot of credit for it. Rose Bertram: someone with a different look, non-white, no past cover model looks like her.
