Hilary is in a lot of mess:

Supermodel Hilary Rhoda 'sues her mother for stealing her fortune... and she responds by attacking newlywed's husband Sean Avery for brainwashing the beauty and not signing a prenup'

 - Hilary Rhoda sued her mother in 2014 accusing her of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the supermodel

 - Hilary claims he mother transferred funds without her knowledge and used a company card to go shopping at Barneys and Neiman Marcus

 - Her mother Marianne has now responded with a countersuit attacking Hilary's new husband, former NHL star  Sean Avery

 - Avery 'prevailed upon [Hilary] to refrain from seeking a prenuptial agreement and embarked on a concerted effort to estrange,' says Marianne

 - Marianne and Hilary's brother Spencer  were not invited to the model's wedding this past October in the Hamptons

 - Hilary earned $4million in 2013, $5million in 2014 and $3.5million in 2015, while Avery has had a variety of jobs

Supermodel Hilary Rhoda is accusing a woman of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her personal fortune - her mother.

The all-American beauty filed a lawsuit against her mother in federal court back in 2014 according to Page Six, saying that Marianne Rhoda forged her signature, diverted funds and even used a company card to go shopping at high-end retailers like Neiman Marcus and Barneys.

Now, Hilary's mother has responded in court papers of her own and is lashing out at her daughter's new husband, former NHL star Sean Avery, who 'prevailed upon [Hilary] to refrain from seeking a prenuptial agreement and embarked on a concerted effort to estrange.'

Marianne also says in her countersuit that she was 'concerned' for her daughter's future, this no doubt in response to Hilary's claim that the woman started a 'constant barrage of ad hominem attacks' that left Hilary 'exasperated' after she revealed she was marrying Avery.

This is likely why Marianne and Hilary's brother Spencer, with whom she had previously been incredibly close and frequently posted photos of on her social media accounts, were not invited to her wedding this past October in the Hamptons.

They were also not mentioned in her New York Times wedding announcement.

Hilary also claimed in 2014 that her mother had withdrawn $1million and made wire transfers of $1.9million to 'vendors . . . with no apparent association' with Hilary.

Avery has held a variety of jobs since he retired from the NHL in 2012, modelling for 7 For All Mankind, competing on Dancing With the Stars and even landing a role in the off-Broadway play Negative is Positive in November 2014 - which he quit two days before his first performance.

He now spends his time remodeling and flipping homes in the Hamptons and is also trying to get into the real estate business in New York City.

During an episode of Watch What Happens Live in 2014 Avery actually called in to inquire if Million Dollar Listing star Fredrik Eklund, who was a guest on the show, would be interested in joining up with him to purchase a building in the Lower East Side.

Avery said he had been trying to reach Eklund for weeks, but his assistants were not putting him through to the broker.

He and Hilary also designed an eight-piece collection for the fashion line Solid & Striped that was released past this summer.

He was also arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree just days before his wedding to Hilary when police learned he had been throwing things at passing motorists and found him to be in possession of the prescription drugs acetaminophen with oxycodone and roxicodone.

He later showed proof that he had prescriptions for all the drugs

Avery, who previously dated model Rachel Hunter and actress Elisha Cuthbert, began dating Rhoda in 2009 when the model was at the height of her career.

At the time Avery had recently completed a summer internship at Vogue, which he did during the 2008 off-season..

A source told the New York Daily News shortly after their wedding that Avery 'has been freeloading full time for the past several years at the Southampton home owned since 2009 by Hilary, which he renovated in 2013, post engagement, without telling her, then presented her with a $100,000 bill which she wired into her account.'

That same source added; 'Sean had suspended the prenup before the wedding.I hope Hilary signed it.

'She was being pressured by him not to, the guy makes no money. He’s isolated her from her family. He fabricates everything. He’s an opportunist and he can’t get along with her.'

Hilary, 28, continues to be one of the most in-demand women in her profession, and thanks to her contract with Estee Lauder is one of the highest-paid models in the world.

She earned $4million in 2013, $5million in 2014 and $3.5million in 2015 according to Forbes.

The most offensive part of this entire thing is calling Sean Avery an NHL star. What a joke. He was nothing more than a pest that antagonized opposing players. Lowest of the NHL low. The pure thug fighters got more respect.

i always assumed she came from money, so i have a tough time believing her mother stole anything from her, add to that the fact that sean has always seemed quite seedy to me. i never got why a woman like her would be interested in a guy like that.

I don't presume to know the first thing about Hilary's personal life, but it's probably reasonable to assume that a theft like the one she's describing could happen to anyone. Particularly after what went on with Maggie Rizer back in the day.
