Don't mind Ashley, but knowing SI they will make her lose a bunch of weight first, so what is the point in signing on a "plus-sized" model? :idk:

SI doesn't make girls loose weight. It's the agencies that make them lose the weight. The agencies won't let them going on that casting unless they do. Now that Ashley is with IMG who knows what they expect from her. In general, Ashley doesn't need to lose weight but she needs a more muscular and toned body if she wants to compete with the likes of Robyn Lawley which is hard. Robyn pre-pregnacy was solid. Kate Upton who isn't a plus sized model wasn't as hard bodied as Robyn. There are ton of plus size models who don't look like plus size models because they are super fit. Some of them have better bodies than their sample size counter parts. Remember it's not the weight or size clothing you wear that matters in swimwear, it's the general look that matters. With SI, it's all about the hype. So depending on your agency, who you are dating, etc, is how you get casted. The weight of a model doesn't matter. Look at Kate Upton and Ireland Baldwin. Neither of them had a hip to waist ratio and both had love handles. Any other high end swimwear or lingerie company would pass on them but SI didn't. The same goes for Brooklyn Decker, Krissy Teigen, etc. Brooklyn Decker has a better body now then she did when she was modeling. It's funny how a lot of these popular SI girls go into acting because they are too big or not the ideal body type for modeling. The ones who don't give up on the modeling try to lose the weight. Look at Lauren Mellor, she went down a dress size just so she could model in the US and be competitive. She booked SI at her heavier weight. Its more about the US/ bigger brands that want the skinny factor.
