Of the girls who have already shot, who do you think might get a cover? I think if its going to be a former cover model its Chrissy without a doubt and if its a girl who hasn't had the cover before, Chanel or Erin. I would add Gigi to the mix but she's not a very good model in my opinion and Yu isn't a very good photographer in my eyes and I don't see a cover image coming from that combination. 

Gigi will get the cover sooner or later..MJ loves Yu so i can see that happening

they dont really care if u are good model tbh. look at Gigi getting covers and being everywhere. and with  SI is not the exception

 

Generally is all about a mix of good exposure , buzz and been likeable on the SI target wich are mostly Men. but sometimes Mj just  puts whatever she wants like last year with Hannah Davis while everybody was pretty much expecting Emrata on the cover. i think they didnt want to be so predictable and obvious.

 

Gigi and Emrata are the strongest to get the cover this year btw.

I think its pretty safe to say that lily will be back and maybe in This location.

On the VS thread, they said something about Lilly being in Turks and Caicos.  Could that be a location for SI instead?

if she's there, she's spoiled her appearance and the location as well..how smart

 

Turks and Caicos is a beautiful location but is a bit basic imo, they have shoot in Bora Bora and it looks almost the same

i don't think chanel, erin, or chrissy have a shot in hell at getting the cover this year, but i could be totally wrong. i also assumed emrata would get the cover last year and it was hannah so any attempts at predicting could be totally wasted effort. chanel's appearance in si has been pretty damn lackluster to the point that i forget she's even part of si. erin was just horrible and i think chrissy/lily/nina will be considered to already have gotten a cover. so imo gigi's probably the best bet for the cover, regardless of how good/bad her pictures are. after all, kate upton got the cover twice + the flip cover and both were hideous, but they still put her on there. sara might be a good secondary choice for cover, if only because she's becoming a pretty mainstream/recognizable model so mj might want to ride that wave while it's fresh.

 

however, in another direction, with leo/kelly getting engaged, they might want to put kelly on the cover. i read that they've already been planning the wedding so imagine leo's fiancee getting the si cover and then shortly thereafter getting married? mj could really bank on the hype of their marriage to make sells.

I think Gigi has a solid shot at the cover this year. She's received a lot of recognition from both the fashion world and mainstream media so it would make sense and she might not be a solid runway model, but that girl can rock a bikini.

For some reason, I'm getting vibes from the S.I. Swim Gods that Nina is due for a solo cover.

I could see Sara getting the cover. She is pretty big right now. It would be nice to see a brunette solo cover. I won't might seen Hannah Ferguson, Emily Ratajowski and Emily Didonato in the cover

I had no idea that Emrata was even considered for a cover last year. I saw tons of news outlets printing that they thought it would be Gigi. I said Chanel because I figure they're eventually going to put another black model on the cover and she's all they have. Don't get me started on how Jessica White was robbed. I also said Erin because she seems to be going the way Marisa and becoming well known to sports fans. My brother knows who Erin Heatherton is but has no idea who Gigi, Emrata, or Sara are. 

Has Shlomit Malka ever tried out for SI? She's Intimissimi's backup girl after Ana BB. I think she's gorgeous but she's with like a C-level agency.

Is it really about who is "big" to be on the cover, though? No one really knew/cared who Hannah was aside from being Jeter's girl and having the boobies so I wouldn't think they would throw Sara or Gigi on the cover just because they are doing big press and fashion wise. That's not the demographic of this magazine and unlike everywhere else I don't know if that would work enough here. I could easily see them + Hannah Ferguson being the new Anne V/Gomes/Genevieve where they are used a lot but not put on the cover. I could see Erin getting the cover if we go by the inset, as she was the one that had it last year and also Chanel not just because they're due for a black model cover but she's dating a promising Laker and this is still an American sports magazine, and there's a story to sell with that. If they really wanted to throw a curve, Hoopes on the cover would be a good/hilarious one. I could just imagine that tragedy. I mean I'd be throwing up for days but at least I'd come up laughing a little.
