I think that Erin is coming to terms with her new figure and figuring out what her ideal shape would be. She's probably learning to love herself again and trying to pull herself together. I hope that she's successful on her journey and starts working again. Karolina experiences a similar thing and came back stronger than ever so I have the same hopes for Erin.

I think that they may bring Erin back after writing that big post on body positivity. It might seem weird to drop her after that.

You are literally trying to convince me that Adriana fans aren't pressed about Ale while being pressed about Ale. I like them both but I don't particularly stan for any celeb which is why I don't understand when it happens to either of them. Adriana's name being mentioned on Ale post is usually to say how much better Adriana is than Ale from what I've seen and it goes the other way. It's not right in either direction. My original point in the beginning is that fans love to pretended as if Ale is suffering because she's in Adriana's shadow when she isn't. I was also mentioning the fact that while fans love to have this Adriana vs Alessandra war that they should really be mad that the media treats Adriana like she won't be fully self actualized until she becomes Gisele. I highly doubt any of them are worried about the others because they all have careers and fans.

I don't know why the notion that Gisele was the biggest model ever still exist. It's always backed up by Forbes financial numbers that she constantly says are false. She's iconic and definitely top 10 of all time but nowhere near the best. If we were ranking on skill she wouldn't be in the top 20. There have been many interviews where Adri has been asked about Gisele and here's a recent one in 2015 on Bloomberg. I just don't like that Adriana is being used to put Ale down. They aren't the same people and Adriana has been an angel far longer. VS loves them both and they both outdid all the other girls because they have 16 years of show experience.

The highlights of the show for me were definitely Adriana's opening and Alessandra's closing. Adriana's opening was truly iconic and they really could have just let her open the show for a 6th time. Alessandra's closing of TRA was also iconic. Someone said that they didn't do anything special for her... she was half of TRA. They focused on her more than all the other girls in the section. She was glowing as she finished. They really edited it so it looked like the camera wanted Barbara to move because Ale was coming. I've always had the belief that closing the first segment is more impactful (to me) than opening or closing most other segments. Models that I was living for were Leomie, why have they not worked more with her. Sara because I've never been a fan of hers but she really impressed me. Cindy as always and Liu who came back to show us mere mortals that she's everything. I didn't notice Kendall, Bella, Gigi, Lais, Irina or Stella until they were at the end of the runway. Irina looked like this was a job she booked 6 months ago and had to roll out of bed to do it. A huge low for me was Lily closing the show. I'm actually rewatching it to see what other section she was in because I didn't notice her at all until she closed the show. Jasmine did amazing and really should have closed. If they wanted to do something for Lily they could have let her open the segment because she's not that bad when she's the first thing you see but as a closer it was anti-climatic.

I agree with you in saying that they are all different models but I wasn't referring to their times as angels. I think that its crappy when Adriana is often asked during interviews about Gisele. Ale doesn't get asked about Adriana and if she's modeling her career after her. They all have drastically different careers and are arguable the three most famous models of their generation. I doubt Ale is pressed about Adri when she only goes to work 4 days of the year and makes millions from VS. The whole "in her shadow" thing is just kind of childish when I doubt they are worried about it.

They were fighting over an exclusive with Daria and Lancome was willing to outbid VS for her and then turned around and said that they didn't want her to walk the show. Maybe brand issues because remember 2004 is a lot different than 2016. They were coming off the whole superbowl incident and the cancelled show.

I agree with this but it's always been much worse for Adriana in Gisele's shadow. There was that one interview where they asked her if she was inspired by Gisele and she looked upset and I felt bad for her.

I think she interviews better than Adriana. She a lot of press for the show from what I've seen on tv. I live in LA so maybe its different where you live. I still don't think she's going anywhere for a while. They've never particularly treated her well as an angel. She didn't open a segment until 2008 when Gisele and Karolina each opened 2 in 2006. I think that she and Adriana play vital roles that can't be filled by the other girls...yet.

I don't think so. They seem to love her and the media reacts a lot better to her than any other angel. She does all the shows based in LA.

I'm still upset that they didn't cast Jacquelyn this year. They really could have given her one outfit and not thrown off the dynamic of the show.

I don't mind the girls speaking but it should only ever be one or two girls speaking. Looking at the 2000-2005 commercials Tyra was really a star and Heidi was so pretty.

The only angel that probably has a problem with the Sara and Oliver thing is Alessandra because she's best friends with Jeisa and possibly Adriana. If there's some drama I'd like to know via PM also. I don't think that Adriana ever outshines Ale. She may be prettier than her but there's something about Ale that draws attention to her. I would honestly say in the commercials that no one outshines anyone. The only instance where I can recall models stealing the show is the 2004 commercial when Angela and Tyra were the total center of attention.

Lily is clearly a social climber and ditched Erin as soon as she stopped being an angel. I think most of the comment was directed at her. She actually seems like the odd woman out. She doesn't have an angel friend. I think Erin actually still friends with Rosie and Lindsay. The old angels don't seem to really get along well. The VS angel sisterhood is so fake. Adriana and Alessandra are friends but don't seem to have a single care about Candice, Behati, or the new angels. You could never convince me that Alessandra really likes Sara when she's dating one of her best friends soon to be ex husband. Girls like Chanel, Lindsay, and Karlie never even pretended to blend into the VS sisterhood. Lily only started hanging with Karlie when Taylor became obsessed with her. Erin is never going to work for VS again anyway so she might as well spill the tea. She's actually losing weight too so I think she will still model. After revealing that VS called her fat, she's got at least one more year in SI.

I have to disagree on both counts. I always found Lindsay to have a very strong walk. It was really the most interesting thing about her in VS. Martha was definitely a big fuller during her early free people days. She was even bigger in 2014 than she was at the last fashion show. I don't want to thin shame her because I do think she's beautiful but I've just noticed that she's dropped some weight.

Is Martha okay? She's looking awfully thin. She's with Lindsay promoting Orthopedic research. They both had spinal fusion surgery. I knew about Martha's but didn't know about Lindsay's. I always chalked Martha's horrible walk up that but Lindsay has a very good walk and carried heavy wings so Martha just sucks.

Erin's words are certainly being twisted. I don't even think she was upset with VS about it. She was asked to lose weight for the show 2 years in a row. She clearly did it in 2012 but it was harder in 2013. Her statement is that she doesn't want young girls thinking it's easy to have a VS angel body. She never condemned VS. That was everyone else. It's also really harsh to call her a nobody considering we're all on our computers arguing about her (a famous model) on the message boards. She actually did a lot more work in 2014 than she did before she was an angel. I do think she slowed down in 2015 because she let herself go as per those photos of her on the Australian Beach. I don't think her career will be negatively affected because she doesn't seem to even be trying to get much work at the moment.

It's not surprising that VS isn't as supportive of healthy body's that they claim. Look at all of the examples. Before Tyra left there were a lot of rumors about her being fired because she was gaining weight. She was getting bigger each year. Adriana and Alessandra were bigger up until like 2007. Karolina was let go in 2009 for her weight gain even though her biggest was probably around Erin's 2012 weight. Behati was bigger until around 2012 when she dropped so much weight. Candice also dropped lots of weight at one point. Even Lindsay was used less when she got bigger which is tragic because at her biggest she was still smaller than most of the girls. It's sad that they feel this way but in VS's defense they probably felt that they hired these girls when they had a certain body and felt it wouldn't be too far fetched to ask them to make changes. I actually don't think Erin, Candice, or Behati are as naturally slim as girls like Lindsay or Lily. They also don't have natural slim curves like Valentina Zelyaeva for example.

Yea, Chrissy and Brooklyn have both talked about it before. Models don't get paid to be in the SI swimsuit issue. Their payment is the exposure.
