I don't imagine Adriana or Alessandra would continue to be angels without each other. I think they'll dip out at the same time.

I feel like closing the first segment is more important than closing any other segment. That girl really sets the energy of the show. Kate has a great walk like most of the girls who close the first segment do but she didn't have energy. If you look the girls of the past they all did very well closing the first segment.Candice, Lily and Lindsay probably had their best walks closing the first segment. Not as of now. She may be trending in a certain area but worldwide only Adriana, VSFashionShow and the primetime shows are trending.

Adriana is currently the only angel trending worldwide. I'm not really impressed with the show this year. I did think Jacquelyn, Adriana, Alessandra, Candice, Jasmine, and surprisingly Martha did well. If Adriana is sticking around they need to drop Sara. She cannot shine if Adri is still there.

I think they talked about Robyn for two weeks but Hannah's cover did more for her than any of the other girls. Lots of people know who she is now, she has that DirecTV contract, and she's hosting that new project runway spin off. I'm hoping its someone who can benefit from the cover.

I think the only girls who would make sense getting the cover are Nina, Erin, or Chanel. I think Gigi won't get the cover because she's at her peak now and the cover won't help her or SI much. I think Sara has gone full on VS. Nina has a cover under her belt and a solo cover may actually make her a star which SI would love taking credit for. She's basically the only cover girl of recent times (2011-2015) who didn't explode after her cover. I can see Erin getting it because she's decently well known, SI seems to be promoting her and I figure she can translate well into the star they need for relevance. If they were going to do another black girl Chanel is a shoe in because they'd definitely pick her over the rookies and Ariel. Chanel being on the cover might actually move covers too. She seems to appeal to men and women.

I've just caught up on the thread and I think VS is super unpredictable about angels that are staying and going. I really only see Kate leaving. I feel like Ale and Adriana are pretty much a package deal and they'll stick together. I also think Candice might have renegotiated and got an Adi/Ale deal where she doesn't have to work all year.

So they didn't invite Doutzen, Lindsay and Karlie back in favor of a new crop of girls but those girls at least keep your attention when they're on the runway. Big mistake

I'm surprised that Adriana didn't lead the finale. She's done it the last 5 shows. The show seems so low energy.

Lily has no chance of getting another cover. She hasn't shot yet so if she's back its because she got the fantasy bra. I feel like her first cover was really because she was in a photo with Nina and Chrissy and they were killing two birds with one stone. She basically got lucky, I've always been a supporter of hers but I don't like her for SI.

Now that Lily has the VS fantasy bra, do you think she'll be back? I hope not.

Gigi is already a high fashion model i think. She's much more of a high end commercial model. Chanel was a very high fashion model at one point and so was Erin in the beginning of her career before she took the money path. I'm asking if an SI cover could make Gigi, Erin, Chanel, or Kate Bock a star the way it did for Kate Upton.

Do you guys think any of the possible cover girls have the potential of a high fashion crossover like Kate did?

I just saw an editorial with Kelly in it and I don't get her appeal at all. I think her SI shot was decent but I don't see how she won ROTY.

No lmao I disagree, I think she has one more year at least. She didn't seem to end on bad terms and they usually bring an old angel back for one last post angel walk.

Adriana is the longest running angel but nowhere near the biggest. She's actually pretty mid level when you consider those who came before her: Stephanie, Helena, Tyra, Heidi, and Gisele. I may be in the minority but I wouldn't mind Ale getting her 3rd fantasy bra or opening the show. What people mean by her being the biggest VS face of all time is she's had the most memorable and successful VS career to date and no one is wrong for saying that. Quite frankly, I don't think any other model will surpass or even reach Adriana's VS success.Gisele and the others you've mentioned are bigger models if you look at the biggger picture, no one is mental enough deny that. It can also be argued that, Heidi is the biggest commercial model of all time even though Gisele is the bigger model in general. Just making a point. Thank you for explaining. I thought you meant biggest model that VS has ever worked with. I guess by those standards you're right. I think that her career has been mostly VS focused but I don't think they've made her into a star like how Heidi for example or even Marisa were when they were with the company. I'm not comparing Marisa to Adriana obviously but I'm saying that when Marisa was there she didn't do much but she had a media dominance that I really only think is surpassed by Tyra and Heidi. I'm not sure if I'm putting that right.

Any news on Rose and Genevieve? I remember MJ saying in a video that last year they were considering putting a body painted photo on the cover and of all the girls I figured they meant either Rose or Genevieve. It would be strange for them to consider a girl for a cover one year and then drop her to next. Alternatively, they could have been referring to Erin or Hailey and we know Erin is back and her body is looking better in my opinion.
