But seriously, I like the SI casting. In that area, I'd say(IMHO) they're doing a good job  ... except for a couple of names-I-shall-not-mention.

they go to great lengths to shoot in locations where the photographer and model will be free to go in whatever direction the shoot takes them, like, say, the girl taking her top off and rolling around in the sand a bit.  when the paparazzi spoils that, it may make subsequent models and photographers reluctant to be willing to try more risque things, thus ruining the spirit / mood of the shoot.  so i can understand why MJ et al are upset. 

 

spoiling the identity of the models is only like 2% of why she'd be upset right now.  try to understand...

Using a public beach, and a hotel with tourists definitely brings out the opportunity to have girls take their tops off and roll around in the sand without anyone taking notice. I'm glad you see that too.

 

Because the above isn't noticeable at all, and then tack on a photographer and entourage and it's just your every day run of the mill occasion. So glad we both see why it would be so surprising and shocking when the paparazzi are called, because clearly nothing important or exciting could possibly be going on.

 SI gets paid for the locations they use, both hotels and beaches, hence why they advertise the locations in the magazine.

Not to mention this being the third year where we get sneak peaks? it's a game, not only for us but the paparazzi to see if they can find them and spoil the party... if you don't want locations spoiled then discretion is the key, and stop giving us easy to piece together sneak peaks.

 

MJ and company need to be quicker on the uptake and adapt to the way social media, magazines, tabloids and the world wide web works or things are going to continue to be ruined for them.

Clearly I've never seen the videos or been to a public beach. Ever. Not once.

 

All it takes is one person being on the beach with a camera or a cell phone. No one ever said anything about dozens or hundreds, so don't start making assumptions. As for the shoots being secluded, it's funny because last year leaked pictures of Kate Bock were on a public street, (that screams seclusion to me too, don't worry you're not alone) and this year was a public beach. <--- obviously that was super secluded to, because they didn't notice the paparazzi, or people who clearly saw them.

In the game of Where's Waldo, SI just lost hard.

When the public can get within 30-50 yards of a location and have clear shots of everything going on.... that's not discretion, that's asking to get caught. Mj has no right to bitch and moan over her stupidity.

I don't really follow MJ's tweets & etc so I don't know will my point apply. The company I work for often don't broadcast events until after it has occurred especially when high profile people are involved. Mainly b/c we don't want random people and the press showing up to cause issues. We do however tweet/post recaps and photos a day or two afterwards.

With that said, if SI is giving clues and sneak peeks of their whereabouts & the models involved, that is bad judgement on their part. I am actually surprised for such a large company they would be so careless

If MJ wants to give us sneak peaks wait a month or two till after shooting is over, then share the pics (doctor them a bit please), but don't hand them out on instagram as the SI team is on location
