January 31, 201411 yr The posters look great, I'm glad they're at least different from Iron Man 3 & Thor: The Dark World
February 1, 201411 yr I saw another poster in the movies when I was watching American Hustle where he's about to jump out the plane, I think that's the official/main advertising one. And those ones look great, Scarlett looks like such a goddess in her one
February 1, 201411 yr I think I might be in the minority in not really liking ScarJo's Black Widow all that much...
February 3, 201411 yr Author This is the new trailer they just put out, I'm anticipating this movie so much Looking great so far, I like the quick glimpses of Falcon. As a longstanding fan of the character, I'll be keeping a good eye on his exploits in the movie. His backstory in the comics is a bit (how can I put this politely?) crap, but he's widely considered to be the first mainstream African-American superhero.
February 3, 201411 yr Author According to the comic 'Winter soldier', the 'Bucky' character.. is supposed to be his friend who fell from the train. He is discovered by the Soviets missing an arm and suffering from brain damage (amnesia). He is rebuilt with a bionic arm and brainwashed into a political assassin. They seem to have done a pretty decent job of keeping his face obscured thus far, though anyone with so much as a cursory knowledge of the story would probably already know it was him. He also looks bizarrely like Jared Leto when he's in his Winter Soldier getup, which is odd because he looks nothing like him in real life. Whenever I see him in the trailers, I feel like I'm watching a pretentious eight-minute alt-pop music video instead.
February 3, 201411 yr Author And those ones look great, Scarlett looks like such a goddess in her one I like the fact that they've used the 'Captain America' logo to hide the fact that she's not standing on anything.
February 5, 201411 yr 'Bucky' looks different here. His face is pasty, and he has huge dark circles underneath his eyes. I suspect that they made him into a cyborg of sorts that is reliant on a life-support mechanism. He reminds me of young Darth Vader, lol... Sort of a midway point between pre and post-Vader Hayden Christensen.
February 6, 201411 yr Author ‘Captain America 2′ Post-Credits Scene Details Leaked? Iron Man 2 teased Thor; Thor and Captain America teased the epic team-up of The Avengers; The Avengers teased one of Marvel’s most dangerous villains in Thanos. With Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe underway, the tradition continues and these bonus sequences have become a staple of the franchise and an expectation of the fans. For Iron Man 3, Marvel went the way of keeping the film standalone at every level and its post-credits stinger was just something fun, not focused on teasing the next movie on Marvel’s slate, but with Thor: The Dark World, there was a very important reveal. For the next film coming from the studio, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, rumor has it that it’s going to be a big one as well… According to Lainey Gossip, who claim to have knowledge of what’s coming after the credits for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, moviegoers will meet the two new Avengers joining the roster for Age of Ultron. We do know that with the film releasing in March for some markets there is a rough cut of the complete film, but how this source saw it or has knowledge of it is anyone’s guess. Regardless of the how, if they’re to be believed, they are dropping the bomb on who shows up:They’re calling them “The Twins”, the brother-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and they don’t look like any Marvel heroes we’ve met to date. Having seen them, I am really sad for Fox and the X-Men… We’ve known since before Iron Man 3 hit theaters that The Avengers 2 writer and director was planning to introduce the “brother-sister act” of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, two of his favorite characters from the comics. They’re an interesting pair not only because of their powers – which have yet to be explained since Marvel cannot label them as “mutants” – but because they begin as villains of sorts, characters who don’t necessarily believe in how The Avengers operate. Since they’re an essential part of the story of The Avengers: Age of Ulton - played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen – the Captain America sequel is the best place to have them cameo – especially considering the last film before The Avengers 2 is Guardians of the Galaxy and that takes place 95% in space and may not hit an audience as big as Cap 2. From Lainey Gossip’s word choice, it sounds like the pair are going to have an interesting costume design, perhaps something a little more faithful to the books than what we’ve seen from Twentieth Century Fox’s take on the characters in X-Men: Days of Future Past. We’re now wondering if the characters and their backgrounds tie into the final stretch of episodes of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC. There is going to be some connection between the show and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we’re just waiting to see if its meaningful or as thin as the Thor: The Dark World tie-in episode. Captain America: The Winter Soldier releases April 4, 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1, 2014, The Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1, 2015, Ant-Man on July 17, 2015, and unannounced films for May 6 2016, July 8 2016 and May 5 2017. Obviously, judge with a slight grain of salt at this point. The rumours of a 'Stark meets the Guardians' post-credits scene in 'Iron Man 3' didn't pan out, this may not either...
February 24, 201411 yr Author TV Spot #2. Not totally convinced there's anything new to see, but here it is anyway. Warning: potential spoilers within!
February 25, 201411 yr Haha, ditto. I don't like her as an actress. She is devoid of talent and charisma. Scarjo is clearly benefiting from good positioning as she takes a lot of good jobs that could have gone to a much better series of actresses. That's her career in a nutshell for me. Black Widow is supposed to be a sassy, seductive, tall, and athletic russian spy.. The male lead is similarly a bummer. Otherwise the movie looks fun. I think I might be in the minority in not really liking ScarJo's Black Widow all that much...
February 28, 201411 yr Author Turns out Falcon has a poster too (yay!). No sign of his pet bird, though (boo!).
March 12, 201411 yr Author Another teaser appeared online today. It's a chase scene with the good Captain in pursuit of Jared Leto The Winter Soldier.
March 13, 201411 yr I think I might be in the minority in not really liking ScarJo's Black Widow all that much... Believe me, you aren't. I've spoken to many people that aren't big fans!
March 14, 201411 yr Author May 6, 2016: it’s Batman vs. Superman vs. Captain America When Warner Bros. announced that the release date for Batman vs. Superman was pushed back to May 6th, 2016, they knew that they would be going up against a Marvel movie. Marvel had previously announced an untitled movie for that date, and now we know what Warners will be up against. The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Captain America 3 will be released on May 6th, 2016. It’ll be the follow-up to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is coming out next month and already tracking to have a huge opening weekend. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently stated that they’re keeping the date, thus they plan to compete with Batman vs. Superman. It’ll be interesting to see if Warner Bros. moves the Batman vs. Superman release date for a second time in order to avoid direct competition with Captain America 3. While both movies will make a ton of money in the long run, the fact that they come out on the same day will negatively impact the initial opening weekend box office numbers. Forget Lex Luthor… Batman and Superman have a new opponent on May 6th, 2016 and his name is Captain America! I expect one of them to switch release dates as it'd be rather stupid not to. Question is, who backs down?
March 15, 201411 yr ^ Well on a comicbook website they did a poll about which people would rather see and Superman vs Batman kicked Captain's ass. They said it's because they have already had two Captain America movies so it's nothing that new or exciting but the Superman sequel also features Batman, two of the most iconic superheroes of all time. If Kevin doesn't back down then I'm sure Warner Bros might, they would want Superman vs Batman to make as much money as possible. I'd be fine with them moving their date as long as they move it forwards and not backwards - seriously finding out about it being delayed by like 16 months was not awesome. I'd personally go see both of the movies anyway as I guarantee both will be awesome and filled with plenty of action scenes!
March 15, 201411 yr Author 'Batman vs. Superman' may be a crapshoot in terms of quality, but I've no doubt that it'll still make tons of money. It'll be the first time the characters will have appeared onscreen together in a live action format, and that alone should equal financial success. Having said that, they may well be mindful of the lukewarm reviews for 'Man of Steel' and the fan backlash over some of their more questionable casting choices (by 'some' I of course mean 'all' ). Thus, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't want the added pressure of going head-to-head with Marvel. Anthony Mackie is pretty excited anyway...
