The Daily Mail reports that a source says "the whole thing" repelled Vogue's famously twerk-averse editor-in-chief. According to the source, "Anna found the whole thing distasteful. She decided, based on Miley's performance, to take the cover in a different direction."

The Daily Mail's interpretation is that before the little-watched Very Miley Awards, Wintour was "eager to champion her as a new fashion icon." How quickly the mighty can fall, butts in the air.

Bruno Mars booked for Super Bowl halftime show

 

 

Grammy-winning pop singer Bruno Mars will deliver the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show next February, the NFL announced Sunday.

Mars appeared live on "Fox NFL Sunday" for the announcement just before the kickoff of the first week of Sunday afternoon games in the regular season.

The Super Bowl is still five months away, but early start of the publicity campaign for the halftime show is evidence that the entertainment rivals the actual game for attention.

"The Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show is the most-watched musical event of the year," the NFL news release said. "More than 110.5 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year's show."

On Friday, Cuoco, 27, called Sweeting the "greatest date ever" on Instagram, sharing a cuddly photo of the pair. 

"He is an amazing guy," a source tells PEOPLE. "She is so happy."

[Julie Ordon] Sued For Allegedly Trashing Her New York Apartment

Julie Ordon and her millionaire husband are being sued by a landlord for allegedly trashing their fancy loft apartment. Julie Ordon and David Mimran are also accused of not paying the $32,000 rent for two months and underpaying for the six months before that, reports The New York Daily News. The leasing company, Allerand LLC, alleged "unspeakable damage" to the furnished West Village unit in court papers filed with Manhattan Supreme Court.

"They left a handmade Napalese carpet in the dining room torn and stained after using it as a base for a cordoned off play area for their children," The Daily News writes, citing the landlord's attorney. "He said the silk covered Art Deco dining chairs also were stained and nicked."

The couple is even accused of gluing plastic devices to the corners of antique tables to protect their small children. The landlord is seeking about $420,000 in damages. Ordon and Mimran didn't respond to The Daily News' request for comment.

In addition to appearing in Victoria's Secret catalogs, Ordon has appeared in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue and Chanel ads.

LVMH chairman and ceo Bernard Arnault, together with Jacobs and his long-time business partner Robert Duffy, confirmed the developments to WWD following months of speculation.

 

The applause that rang out moments ago from the vast tent in the Cour Carrée of the Louvre signaled the end of Jacobs’ tenure as creative director for the storied French house and the official beginning of Jacobs' IPO preparation. The offering should occur within the next three years. WWD first reported on June 10 LVMH’s interest in taking Marc Jacobs public.

 

Jacobs’ successor at Vuitton has not been named, nor has a decision been made, though strong indicators continue to point to Nicolas Ghesquière as the frontrunner.

 

With Jacobs’ and Duffy’s contracts with Vuitton set to expire at the end of this year, speculation had been rampant about their future at the brand. They reportedly sought investment guarantees for the New York-based Jacobs business, of which LVMH owns a substantial stake. The luxury conglomerate, Jacobs and Duffy each own one-third of the Marc Jacobs trademark.

 

Jacobs leaves Vuitton after a dazzling 16-year run during which he orchestrated the transformation of the leather goods giant from a stodgy luggage house to a global fashionpresence. He pioneered the concept of the fashion-art runway collaboration, first with Stephen Sprouse and later, with several artists including Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince. The bags he designed with Sprouse and Murakami became global phenomena.
