May 11, 201510 yr I watched Borat for the second time over the weekend and broke my stomach. It was funnier than I remembered (2006) Funniest movie of the new century so far, hands down. Whole film:
May 11, 201510 yr Author I was wondering about the movie if the people in the movie knew it was an actor or they were really candid about it and thought it was really from Kazakhstan? #feelingBlond
May 12, 201510 yr Lots of people have sued him over it. Da Ali G Show is one of the best shows ever. I just read this on wikipedia On 22 May 2009, a charity worker at a seniors' bingo game sued Baron Cohen, claiming an incident shot for Brüno at a charity bingo tournament left her disabled.[71] However, the worker later retracted her statement, saying the "actor never struck her", but that he "beat her down emotionally to the point she's now confined to a wheelchair".[72] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacha_Baron_Cohen#Lawsuits Bruno must have criticized her style
May 13, 201510 yr Not today, but yesterday... Some guy told me I should cut my hair by quoting some Bible's passage
May 14, 201510 yr I think part of it was staged, but most of it was real. Some scenes, like Pamela Anderson came across as staged. Most of the emotional reactions (shock, disgust, creeped-out, etc) were too spontaneous. I think those who participated were tricked into signing deceptive contracts and believing that it was filming something else. Two strange men in an ice cream truck, driving in circles around the White House, LOL I was wondering about the movie if the people in the movie knew it was an actor or they were really candid about it and thought it was really from Kazakhstan? #feelingBlond The Borat character from Ali-G comes across as somewhat "nascent". I saw Bruno and thought it was okay but nowhere near 'Borat' level It reminded me of Zoolander. Lots of people have sued him over it. Da Ali G Show is one of the best shows ever. I just read this on wikipedia Bruno must have criticized her style
May 15, 201510 yr The people who appeared in this one made lawsuits: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/crime/borat-dinner-party-lawsuit OCTOBER 23--Five more unwitting stars of 'Borat' have filed a federal lawsuit against the hit comedy's creators, claiming that they were duped into appearing in what they thought was an 'educational documentary for Belarus Television.'In the movie, the quintet is seen dining with comedian Sacha Baron Cohen in an Alabama home in October 2005. During the meal, Cohen, in his guise as the clueless Borat, refers to one man as a 'retard,' wonders whether his hosts own slaves, and, following a bathroom trip, returns to the dinner table with a plastic bag containing what appears to be feces.According to a complaint filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Birmingham, Cohen and his codefendants sought to portray the Alabamans as 'racially intolerant' and distributed a film 'memorializing the mockery, humiliation, and degradation of unsuspecting participants.'The plaintiffs charge that Cohen's film, which has grossed hundreds of million of dollars, caused them emotional distress, placed them in a false light, and resulted in an invasion of privacy. The lawsuit, which does not specify monetary damages, seeks an injunction barring further use of the embarrassing 'dinner scene' from 'Borat.' (10 pages)
May 15, 201510 yr Unintentionally funny scene from 'Red Dragon', especially if taken out of context. It was meant to 'horrify', but the hammy acting, music choice, and naked Ralph Fiennes & PSH was just too much..
