checked some boxes for me: big, colourful, extravagant (plus the makeup and the hair) and lacks seriousness. Think she did pretty well based on what I understood from HauteLeMode himself and some other reasearch.

Again, what I understand for camp isn't that. But if you do, it's fine. But I see more like a mexican inspired kind of dress than a camp kind of dress. Again, that's just ME. I see Camp as something that is so ridiculous that you know that you will never wear that.

yeah, everyone is different, just wanted to give her kudos for the work  :flower:

I actually love Jo's look, and think it's campy af. Impressed with her first Met go.

I would rather someone risk looking bad but taking a risk than the boring girls that play it safe. It's the Met. There are a thousand other red carpets to look pretty and cute for- hell Cannes is in a week. Take an advantage of this event designed to be daring.

I love the dress, I love the way she looks actually, she's one of the best best dressed imo.

I don't feel like Jo followed the theme, sure and her dress is big and somehow colorful but that's not what Camp is. But, as the youtuber HauteLeMode said, everyone has different definition of Camp.

If you know you can't pull it off or don't want to follow it, at least look good. There's people that follow the theme and look a mess, while there's people that follow the theme that look great; there's people that don't follow the theme and look great and there's people that don't even when they avoided the theme.

Camp, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is “something so outrageously artificial, affected, inappropriate, or out-of-date as to be considered amusing; a style or mode of personal or creative expression that is absurdly exaggerated and often fuses elements of high and popular culture.”

But then again - everyone will interpret it as they wish.

What I understand from that isn't Jo's dress but again, just what I think. But I also don't think Katy Perry's dress is camp, just plain stupid, so...

all the angels look amazing, but josephine is the only one who followed the theme so she wins

 😁😁😁

The only part that feels camp about Josephine's outfit is the headpiece. Otherwise it would just be a floral dress.
