Too old to be an Angel? Tyra Banks is ‘furious’ after being REJECTED for Victoria's Secret Fashion Show guest appearance

• Ms Banks, 40, was one of the lingerie giant's original Angels for eight years
• The supermodel mogul is said to be 'outraged' by the decision

She's the queen of delivering rejection as a judge on her long-running show, America's Next Top Model, and now it looks like Tyra Banks has got a taste of her own medicine.

According to RadarOnline.com, the 40-year-old runway pro was snubbed by Victoria's Secret when she suggested she make a 'surprise' appearance in last December's annual CBS televised show.

'[Ms Banks] was rejected by the brand and the network, despite her long affiliation with the company,' the undisclosed source said. 'She’s outraged and is threatening to never to work with Victoria’s Secret again.' The reasons behind her alleged rejection? She's old news, apparently. 'Tyra’s feelings were hurt because the excuse she was given is that the audience likes to see the newest models, not the "veterans" on the runway during the VS TV show,' the source explained.

Ms Banks, who enjoyed a lucrative career as one of the lingerie giant's original Angels for eight years between 1997 and 2005, was said to have been 'dying' to make a comeback. But as for those angel wings, it appears she won't be dusting them off and re-attaching them any time soon.

The December show, in which she reportedly wanted to appear, pulled in almost ten million viewers and showcased long-time Angels Adriana Lima, for her 14th year running, and Alessandra Ambroiso for her 13th year, as well as fledgling Angels Lily Aldridge, Toni Garrn and Behati Prinsloo.  

'Tyra doesn’t want to make a public spectacle out of the snub, because it would make all the parties involved look bad, the source concluded. 'But she isn’t happy.'

Toni Garn is a VS angel?

Wait, is that real? Tyra wants to be on show?

I kinda like the Incredible commercial. It's  not the best, but way better than the last few commercials imo and Ale, Behati, and Lais looked pretty good.

^interesting. Because you all know more about this than I do, what does that mean in terms of her keeping with VS? I assume she certainly can't model VS cosmetics anymore..

Possibly shooting mainline? Unless they are doing a VS Pink fragrance commercial, but I doubt that..

In regard to Adriana, I think VS is getting more lax about their exclusivity. I mean, they let Lily do SI under her Angel contract, which I never thought would happen in a million years. But Adriana also been an Angel for a long time, maybe she's finally saying good bye. 

 

As for Elsa, maybe VS realized how horrendous Karlie was for Heavenly and are giving her the boot.   We can only hope. 

Or Maybelline finally bought out her VS Beauty contract because that's what VS did to them. I don't think VS is letting go of Adriana just yet. Especially now with all the press she is getting.

So happy Elsa shot a VS commercial today It's a fragrance and I think it's mainline because she tagged VS and not VS Pink like she always does.

 

Also I'm not worried about Dri going back to Maybelline, didn't Karlie just get a L'Oreal contract and Lindsay is promoting some other hair stuff too. Seems to me like those exclusive beauty contracts are over.

 

And we just saw Adriana basically being HBIC all over London, would be kind of stupid to make her get all the good London PR just to let her go right after

Adriana refused a picture again! I don't blame her though because she was technically on the job and it was super hectic. She said that she remembered me hahaha. Next time I'll get a pic with the Bae
