I've read 60/40 but when you consider how many people actually watch the show, it's semantic. Small difference I think the more important point is viewership is on a steep decline for VS. Add in cord cutting, disinterest stemming from lack of promotion, fewer household names (I think Adriana is literally the only person working with VS right now even a bare minimum majority of Americans would know) (Alessandra, lovely as she is, has never had the same influence), their ratings are going to keep falling. Everyone keeps saying it, but they really need to more to streaming. I'm really not adding anything new here lol The first series of Westworld just got more views than the first of GOT so perhaps the VSFS should move to HBO and we can get full frontal

Everything media related is skewing female these days. When it comes down to it, the VSFS/Angels have a larger female following. Maybe it's only because my personal experience is with my girlfriends/other girls I am vaguely acquainted with/follow on twitter/instagram/so on, but the big followings of shows (save a few big ones like GOT and TWD, I'd bet those have slightly larger male followings) are made up of girls, younger ones, especially superhero shows and especially the ones on the CW. That's the demo people really want to hit, the obsessive teenage girl demo is the dream, if you've got that following the pressure on your 18-49 rating eases up. See shows like Supernatural that keep getting renewed.

Since everyone's doing these, the quick rundown of my thoughts on the show: THE ROAD AHEAD Seeing Elsa in that pretty blue lingerie only makes me..... sadder..... (fuck it, I don't know, can you be sad about this?) about that thing (fucking BILL) on her back. She was gorgeous. I love Lais. Objectively, Kendall didn't look terrible. Adriana is........ Adriana. Maria Borges is so good. Everyone's commenting on Taylor's hands/arms, but this made sense with this look. Have you ever seen those sleeve dogs? Man. I love sleeve dogs. I always forget how smokin' Joan is. Seriously. Cindy managed with that miserable look. The skeleton suit wasn't terrible, but those wings, my god. This segment actually seemed really cohesive to me, more than any of the others, even if most of the cohesiveness came from it all being messy. PARIS FLUFF They all hate each other. MOUNTAIN ROMANCE Why the fuck did Gaga play hypeman for Flavia Lucini, of all people. Also, Iza and her hair flip are as traditional as Adriana's pointing, let the woman live. I like Million Reasons, never made it to the chorus when I was listening on spotify, but I like it here. Lily just looked tired. I don't know if I saw her smile. PINK Grace Elizabeth is cute. Those wings, though. Maggie's got very outshone. This was somehow.... not a mess? Not as messy as it looked in sketch form, anyway. JOSEPHINE FLUFF I closed my tab but if this is the one where they used Wings (these wings are made to fly so on) Gigi must have been shook. This is where Taylor's hands don't make sense, but girl won the wing lottery this year. Gorgeous. Gigi looks better in motion and I love her posing. It's VS. It's supposed to be OTT. Also, I'm still concerned about her. Off topic. Next. Devon looks out of place in this segment. I'm obligated to mention how fucked up it was that Kate's Kape Moment was missing. ......... I honest to God forgot about Alessandra. Those fucking wings. Pour one out for Candice's lost harp wings. ANGELS FLUFF This was laughable at best. It's cute that they tried to bring in empirical evidence and just... couldn't. Kendall and Gigi covered US Vogue so it would have made sense to mention them here. But you Angel purists would have complained, so... BRIGHT LIGHTS ANGEL Oh thank god it's over. Jasmine is a babe, deserved more love for her FB. Why Bruno. I love Maria, please keep her VS. Okay, Jo. The fact that you're using that name for her, used constantly here, should really tell you you're not. Can we please relax about the segments like the 'Hadid segment' that were sixty seconds max? It's fluff. You're going to forget about it in four days max.

I'm not one about speculation, but her mum is a total narcissist and the way she treats food/her daughters is definitely the sort of thing that encourages disordered eating (not getting specific, but I know what I'm talking about). Not accusing her of having a full on eating disorder, I just think that and the immense pressure she's under as she keeps landing campaigns (can't imagine working with a piece of shit who called me fat so closely, but that's me) and her profile is a lot, lot higher than it was even last year, with all of the hosting gigs and Zayn and everything. Overwork + other contributing factors + industry pressure = I hope everything gets better for her, she really looks... not good

Re: Appropriation There's an academic definition of appropriation, and it doesn't fit what VS has done here. The colloquial definition that's emerged the last few years could be relevant, but let's be honest, for a show that had a record breaking four Asian models out of fifty two, it's culturally insensitive at worst. Doesn't mean there should be massive uproar or claims of racism but it doesn't hurt to acknowledge that VS is utter shit when it comes to representation

My favourite thing to come out of this show without even having seen it is that her insta pic choice is one where she looks disgusted.

No, a good doctor would have known the best implants to use on a body like hers.
