  1. I'm a fucken mess for being SO SURE that bitch was still walking Just goes to show that I can't heed my own words about how arbitrary and ridiculous getting Chinese visas can be Though I'm curious was to whether she was actually denied the visa or whether some other obligations in the US took priority. Kind of doubt she would prioritise anything over the VSFS, but at the same time, I'm still shaken over a visa actually being denied to her with her relationship with Chinese brands... As for Katy, if she's banned it's related to Tibet. Quoth Kev, 'fucken mess'
  2. Probably sound like her publicist at this point over how much I'm commenting on her right now but it's because she imitated a Buddha cookie by squinting her eyes, apologised for it late and on Weibo instead of her other social media. But that's far from enough for a ban. Speculating she's been banned is ridiculous, especially when that (likely incorrect) article says it was a delay in her visa being issued. Justin Bieber is a criminal and Beyoncé performed for Qaddafi. There are legitimate reasons for bans whether people see them or not.
  3. Full article for complete context http://www.vogue.es/celebrities/victoria-secret/articulos/gigi-hadid-boicot-victorias-secret-desfile-2017/31883 Anyway, if my Spanish is half decent it says delay not denial of her visa.
  4. I would be shocked if Gigi was denied a visa. She was just in China a year or so ago for the Tommy x Gigi tour. I realise the anti-Asian racist incident occurred within the last year but I can't believe that the government would weigh bot comments over the financial gain. Stop reposting unofficial information, it's annoying.
  5. If VS want to hire me to negotiate for their Russians..... But seriously, diplomatic bureaucracy in China is no joke, I have a friend in Marine Biology who was going on a trip with her dissertation adviser to study the effects of air quality in Chinese cities on lakes in the Changbai Range, and the trip was completely destroyed by a minor fuckup. Her adviser's been in and out of China for like fifteen years now doing research and for this trip someone misplaced a document needed for his new visa and they denied it to him completely plus put any future visas on hold to investigate him (the document was like an affidavit about what he was doing in North Korea or something, I don't know exactly but I do know he was in NK for a brief time due to the nature of the Changbai and the border). VS are so greedy and so fucking stupid for playing with visa requirements.
  6. The second is She bears such a resemblance to Padma Lakshmi there, don't know how I didn't notice it before. I initially felt that this fantasy bra looked like costume jewellery (Candice's being the prime example) but with all the close-ups (and constant positivity in this thread ) it's really really grown on me. It's so intricate. The gold looks absolutely stunning on her, everyone's right about how well suited it is. And I adore the back, it's fantastic to have something there for once. So well deserved. She is a stunner. Always has been. Those legs That glorious cleavage Someone photoshop that picture of Candice and Behati with Lais' tits to have the Fantasy Bra on it as well
  7. I swear to god her face is swollen, she looks like me after I forget I'm allergic to citrus and drink a glass of orange juice. Fucked up facial / waxing sesh, perhaps?
  8. That's a dangerous mindset. Sara said herself that over the course of the shoot she was pressured to break her no nudity clause, and while I won't play games with libel, a photographer holds a great deal of power (some might say all of it) on a shoot. It's not out of the question that Bellemere played a greater role in this. We've seen it before with Terry Richardson. We're seeing it with the Weinsteins. You have to step back and look at how VS has no on-call female photographers (if they do, correct me, I'd love to see their work) and a lot of their executives / John / whatever the fuck Ed is are male. Not accusing anyone of doing this, but that's a lot of men in power and a lot of beautiful young women, some of who are alone with nothing in a foreign country. Fill in the blanks yourself. I hope she tears them limb from limb. One could even draw a revenge porn parallel here, and if you don't want to take it that far, there's still a delictual liability.
  9. Allergies exist! Especially to supplements that may be made with substances other than what they say. Listen to this good man, people Not how liability works, Pretty, especially with minors. Back up. Disclaimer that this is not advice I am giving in a professional capacity. Nothing I have said creates a solicitor/client relationship. This statement is for informational purposes only. I cannot take any responsibility for any errors or omissions in my statement especially if you use it outside of its purpose as guidance and information. And @gotportugal, go to ya damn class. Your education is a valuable thing and there are millions of girls who would kill to be in your place. / end seriousness, can we get back to talking about bras please
  10. It is extreme and over the top. How many times do I have to remind this thread that 'healthy' eating and exercise can still be and generally with this level of obsession are symptomatic of eating disorders?? This isn't good for Kelly, it's not good for Adriana and never has been, it's not good for Gigi, it's not good for anyone. VS needs to either pull it the fuck together and live up to their self set standards of health and stop expecting girls to destroy themselves for the show or they need to commit fully and hire all high fashion girls with their ribs sticking out. They know the dieting and excessive exercise happens. They'd be stupid as fuck not to when anyone can read about liquid diets and see girls going insane at Dogpound on instagram. I'm sorry to snap, but seriously. You all need to understand that this isn't healthy and especially those of you who are young and looking to these girls for body inspiration and examples of health. There's nothing wrong with admiring someone's body, I definitely have my inspiration and live for certain girls' bodies, there's everything wrong with excusing disordered, public (that's the key, even if they aren't disordered in their everyday life, they're disordered in their public life) choices because they gave those girls their bodies. The long term damage from extreme dieting and disordered eating is horrific and glorifying it in this thread is gross but I don't know why I expect anything of this site anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  12. @Clauds Sorry for the notification, just wanted to say thank you for confirming I wasn't going crazy
  13. If you follow Bella Hadid this is her whole modus operandi. She still smokes, but you can see fairly easily that she puts on weight (by no means do I mean to call her fat, my therapist would kill me for that shit, but check out any of her recent FW pics and you'll see it) and then goes insane fasting and working out before the VSFS. You can find a lot of dialogue about it on certain fan blogs. Gigi was more or less the same until her Hashimoto's (I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, but side eyeing her eternally) dropped her weight to HF model standards. But I don't know if you wanted Hadids Just saying those models do exist This is called orthorexia, which is on its way to being a DSM term but is currently accepted by a number of health professionals as being something real. Essentially, it's diagnostic acknowledgement that healthy eating can turn obsessive in the way restricting eating can, and tbh anyone who follows models needs to know about it and understand it so they can get help if need be Anorexia (bulimia is a different story but less prevalent in the modelling industry because it doesn't have the same effect as restricting) is becoming more and more unacceptable in the industry due to outside pressure so the new face is healthy, healthy, healthy! which is where orthorexia has kicked in and taken over. People forget that eating disorders are just that, disordered eating, and obsessive focus on what you do and don't eat is disordered as fuck. Same with obsessively exercising. Waifs are out. Thin and muscular is in. The industry cycles in and out, in and out, over and over again. 80s glamazons > 90s heroin chic > 2000s rise of Adriana and Gisele > late 2000s baby faced / Russian waifs > 2010s skinny but HEALTHY with CURVES. So this shit isn't healthy, and your favourite model eating only raw gluten free dairy free sugar free organic (god like everyone on my feed) and going for 10 km runs every day may be physically fit but she sure as fuck isn't healthy.
  14. I'm far behind, but was that her in the Mi Gente remix video?
  15. The question is less 'will we' and more 'will it ever be made public in an evisceration by the NYTimes'. There are things I can't say on internet forums because of NDAs and libel suits (I feel like one of those people now) but Hollywood, modelling encompassed, is extraordinarily fucked up and some of the shite I've seen goes beyond anything you can imagine, probably. Is this an attempt at summoning me? (if so, congratulations, you've done it.) This is news to me. VS is a study in branding 101, and part of their brand is that their models are different, they have curves (and cutlets, but that's none of my business ), they aren't anorexic, they're Real Goddamn Women and by fucking god are they healthy. You can still support the models you love if they're unhealthy, be it by their eating and workout habits (restricting or bingeing) or their alcohol consumption or drug intake. No one is saying you can't. But it's bizarre to deny, one, that VS has branded itself as having healthy girls (case study: heroin chic and Gisele and Adriana bringing about its end), and two, that not all of them fit within the standards of what most people consider to be healthy. Also, this is for a different debate, but if you're going to talk about working out a lot as being healthy then you should also mention orthorexia in the same breath. Anorexia is less in vogue, as they say, and orthorexia has come to take its place. Which is fucked up and people need to understand how and why this has come to pass. Mental health is health too, children.
  16. Listen up. 1. If you still want to call Beyoncé derivative after what she did on Lemonade, you're not being objective Which is fine, music is obviously and always subjective (especially pop-based artists) but don't pretend you're approaching her objectively. Real reasons (her vibe doesn't match the VSFS, she probably considers herself above performing there, what would she even perform since she doesn't have anything new out (Mi Gente remix aside)) > rehashed and objectively false talking points (she's derivative, she's a diva, her voice is bad) 2. Overstatement is a common tactic in voicing opinions and easily understood unless you willfully don't want to understand it. 3. This isn't Twitter. Some people love Beyoncé. Some merely like her. Some find her overrated. Some hate her. We aren't having stan wars over this. Done. Anyway. Am I reaching in thinking Ariana Grande might return to VS? She's got about ten years of goodwill from Manchester ( ) and she's been in the studio for her next album already. So fourth quarter single release = performing at the VSFS again? Plus there's Zayn (I could see Dusk Til Dawn playing in the background at the VSFS, no? Earned it 2.0?). I kind of want Post Malone there but I've listened to rockstar like 20 times on repeat today so I acknowledge how trash my taste is.
