Vanessaaa, who is this? Love her eyes

I LOVE long hair and I love most of the contributions here, except the shampoo/hairdye/etc. ads. Am I alone in thinking it looks so unrealistic and overly photoshopped? Like, almost plastic? I'd rather have pics of girls with real hair (extensions or no). Anyway, thanks all! Okay, these are hairextensions, but I loved the shine of it: Credit goes to Nothingless.

Even though I included her in my "Aargh not her again" contribution, I still have a weak spot for Adriana Lima. She was the one who got me into models in the first place. Lately, she's left me indifferent, but her comeback looks promising. I hope she'll go back to this: (credit to Nothingless)

^^I agree, why some people are celebs and have fans to begin with is just mindboggeling to me. Paris does nothing else than just...being there and being irritating and a pointless waste of space. And poking people to death with her knees and elbows from hell. - Kim Kardashian. Just because she made a sex tape suddenly makes her important? Okay, so she's kinda hot, but really, there are billions of girls who are better looking than she is. And less stupid. - Those annoying girls from the Hills and The City. Why do they even have fans? - Olsen twin fans. They're usually pro ana girls using these two as their thinspo. Kate Moss fans. Granted, I don't see much of em here but the tabloids and other models (Tyra, Janice Dickinson) talk of her like she's the perfect being. I don't even find her that pretty.

Esti. Pretty girl, yes. But far from spectacular. Boring. Bar. She annoys me to no end. I try to warm up to her because she does know how make a picture work, but whenever she opens her mouth I cringe. She's like the jittery cheerleader/miley cyrus clone when it comes to her bahavior. And not too bright. But that's not her fault. Ale. Used to love her, but now she's gotten wiry skinny, I'm kinda 'meh' about her. Her features look way too sharp now, pretty much like Paris Hilton these days who could stab you to death with her elbows, collar bones and knees. (Although Ale will always be more classy) Lima.She deserves a special mention because it's not like I hate her. I was crazy about her for a long time, but it's like she's lost that edge she used to have. In the last years (starting 2006) she's lost that freshness she had and I just didn't think she looked that great anymore. Too much makeup, the weird faces...yeah. Anyway, she's back now and the comeback trailer looks like the Lima I used to love, so there's still hope

Am I the only one who thinks she looks fresh and upbeat? As far as I can tell, she doesn't wear any make-up in these pictures and she hasn't gotten the chance yet to get into the sun. I bet that if she gets her brazilian tan back a bit and gets settled in her new lifestyle with her child and hubby, she'll look better than ever. I think the dress is cute. She pulls it off well. But like I said, once she gets that tan back, light bright colours will look even better on her. And to everyone who is disappointed with these candids: do you look this good without make-up? Natural beauty if I ever saw one.

I never knew that. I have only seen pictures of her when she was slim. But weight gain could be an explanation of why she isn't really well known in the modeling industry. Do you have anything to support this? And sorry, but how do you know she isn't a nice person? An interview or something? I'm smelling a flame war about to happen. Eh, isn't starting a thread like this asking for problems? I mean, I agree that some fans of some models take their obsession a bit overboard, BUT thanks to that obsession the model threads are always frequently updated with new pics!

I'm usually not a fan of 'fuller women' because my picky eye usually thinks they've got too much meat on their bones. And by meat I mean fat. But this woman is really pretty! She's seriously in shape. I wouldn't mind looking like this.

It's just scary. All these beautiful young people killing themselves. Sometimes it makes me angry. I mean, every person has stuff to deal with in their lives. Why is it that the suicide rates are so much higher in western countries than in countries where it would seem people actually have a 'good' reason to kill themselves? It puzzles me. Oh well, I will not clutter this thread with my personal opinion on suicide. I know it's a touchy subject. What happened is and will always be tragic, no matter what I say.

Eating Disorders...I always had a mixed feeling about them. I mean, my sister suffered from it and it was horrible seeing her waste away and struggle (luckily she's got herself back on track now) but honestly, I think it's disgusting these things even exist in this world. On the other side of the world people are starving because they cannot get food because the land they live on doesn't supply them with it, or because of war. And then there's us. We have all our basic needs covered. We have homes, food, tapwater, education, etc. We have time to fuss over our appearances, fuss about fashion, fuss about models, fuss about our personal issues....we have so much that we have the freedom to think things through and think so much about it that virtually unimportant things have become a constant in our minds. It's actually ridiculous when you think about it. And I don't think about it often, because this life I have is my only point of reference. I know I'm a hypocrite for saying this on a forum that revolves around models, fashion and other insignificant stuff. I'm no better than anyone. But sometimes, I think a little realization is good. You are destroying yourselves with your ED's. I know it's a psychological issue. I have seen my sister. An intelligent girl. Yet she went on in this self destructive path. I remember when she was recovering, she came to me and apologized. I asked what for. "For being so selfish." Because in essence, that's what it is. All she thought about was losing weight and how she would look when she got thin (even though she was already bony). She was in control. She was always a control freak and hated it when she couldn't control something. Now she controlled her own body. But in reality, she wasn't in control. I think that all the people with ED's should think about this. I know it's not that simple. But it might make you set the first step to recovery. Good luck to everyone here suffering from this. I hope you all get healthy again like my sister

What's it with models and suicide these days? I heard a Korean model killed herself as well. And a TV presenter. And now him too. Ruslana's death is also still fresh in mind. It's so strange that these beautiful people who seem to have everything going for them choose death over life. But I guess we'll never find out what their reasons were. R.I.P. Ambrose. Too bad such potential was cut short in such a way. I can only imagine what the person who found him must feel like. I'll never understand why people will end their life like this. But maybe it takes to be in such a state to understand.

Bar and that presenter were just so annoying. I mean, they acted like stereotypical bubble headed highschool girls. I really couldn't stand either of them, though I normally kinda like Bar. Irina looked great as usual and I like that she isn't a partier (like me! ). Thank you all for the great pics as well!

Adri looks the best out of them all. Even Ale and Rosie, who I consider to be gorgeous look kinda "meh" in these pics. I actually like mugshots like these, with barely or no make-up to help their looks and their hair pulled back into a ponytail. It brings them back to the level of mere mortals like us. P.s. did anyone notice the last girl, who is the only one out of the bunch smiling for the camera? I bet if all the gals had done that, they'd look better instantly.

I don't know <_< she looks like she is at a funeral...all in black, totally serious, flowers in the background.... indeed. I'm happy she's back in action but I'm not really digging this look. She's pulled off the ponytail and the black jacket/thing before, but much better: Though I have to say that in these new pics she looks about as young as she does in this pic ^. And back then she was 22. So I dunno if she's found the fountain of youth or anything ;-) But I would love to see her with less makeup and a bit more tan.
