  1. Hey, I was just wondering: who is the girl in your sig and avvy?

  2. Wow she looks great! Better than ScarJo did in the movie. This was the inspiration: Het meisje van Vermeer (a.k.a. the Girl with the pearl earring by Vermeer) Okay, next one! Madonna in her "Frozen" video: FIND THE INSPIRATION
  3. Valeriia has a great face! How old is she? She looks very young

    Candids

I agree that a bit of a tan would do her good. That said, right now I'm about as pale as she is and I usually have a bit of a tan myself. The reason I don't have one now is because I worked the entire summer and didn't have much time left to get out into the sun. Adri, with motherhood, getting fit and working again probably didn't have much time to get out into the sun either. Sure, we have those beach candids of her. But I need more than one day at the beach to get my tan back. Who knows, maybe it takes a while for her too. Still, she's rediscovering what works for her. For one, she's lessening on the makeup. She's wearing what looks good on her. She stopped doing the weird faces all the time. It's almost as if she looked around to see what the fans say and followed up on it I saved a couple of those new pics on my computer. And I'm usually very picky with which pics I want to have. So for me, she's almost back to looking like how I love. @Sabriana: woah, you met her in real life? I'm so jealous! Gimme the details! *jumps around like an immature kid*

    Skin Care

Hmm skincare...when I was a teen I used to not do that at all. Just wash my face and be done with it. I once used one of those anti acne products but they made me break out so bad that even now I have never tried again. Now in the winter my skin gets really dry and it just doesn't look good if I don't moisturize. The problem for me is that there are plenty of products for oily skin, but not many for extremely dry skin, like mine. So I just use pure coconut oil and that seems to get the job done. Another advantage is that it only costs a couple of bucks for an entire jar, which lasts ages. I also put the stuff in my hair a few hours before I wash it. Makes it really shiny without making it greasy. To be honest I rarely buy the official skin products. For example, I make my own face scrub by combining milk, honey and a bit of sugar. It works great and tastes great too when you wash it off, haha Oh and before I post this, I want to make clear that I'm not some pro nature greenfreak hippie who walks around barefoot at minus 20 degrees Celsius. It's just that the professional, expensive stuff just doesn't do it for me.
  7. She´s looking great lately! Thanks for the pics everyone! Too bad www.natalieportman.com was hacked. I can´t understand what people could gain by crashing a server, ruining 8 months worth of pics.
  8. ^^Hmm a bit too much. I mean, I think toned, fit gals are beautiful (Marisa is a good example,) but more isn't always better in my opinion. Are there more pics of this girl that show how she looks from the front? This picture makes her bicep look huge!

She's so gorgeous here! it reminds me so much of her in 2003 I agree. They finally got her makeup right again (as in, they put less on her)

  11. ^^She reminds me of Anna Selezneva in that picture.
  12. Ooh you've been bringing in some great new blood lately, youareprincess! I especially like Alisa. Tong Tong Lui also has something special. PS how do you find the time to keep your site updated? Looks like a fulltime job!
  13. Good point. I've worried about that too. It would be very easy to become superficial and egocentric in that world. Sure, there are probably a couple of models who had securely established personalities and were very grounded when they start out and keep their feet on the ground, but for every one of those there are a dozen who do let themselves get sucked in. And I can't say I'm immune to the kind of pressure some of these girls face.

I've said it before and I will say it again: less is more with Adriana. She looks gorgeous with little to no makeup. I like the backstage pics as well, though I wish they hadn't used blusher on her. She doesn't need it. But damn, she still looks superhuman. I mean, her, Ale and Isabeli...all of them had kids, but no stretchmarks, no nothing. She still looks better than 99% of the female population on earth
  15. Wow she is gorgeous! Gah, makes me wanna go back to my überblonde days when I could be found with my head in the sun every day in summer. That's her natural color isn't it? PS Berno I can't help but stare at your sig and I'm a girl!
  16. Well, I admit I am a bit insecure when it comes to my looks and if I get older and my now C cup boobs start to sag a lot (I hope it won't get too bad, but who knows how fast gravity works ) I would consider a lift or something of the sort. Then again, maybe at that age I'll be wise enough to accept myself for who I am. I'm the kind of person who finds something else wrong with myself when I fix something, so I might as well not start at all. For example, I always wanted superlong hair like Paulina Porizkova in Her Alibi (and in shoots). Now that I have my hair touching my hip, I find myself getting annoyed with the few blemishes on my skin (which I totally ignored before) and find myself drinking more water and using masks to clear that up. And probably when that is cleared up I might get irritated by something else, maybe this time something that I can't 'clear up' without resorting to artificial ways. So that's where I draw the line. I try to improve myself through natural ways like exercise, good diet, good care of skin and teeth, but that's it. Look what happened to Megan Fox! Totally gorgeous before (even though she had some forehead lines and acne scars) but now her face is übersmooth thanks to botox and who knows what else, she just looks less pretty than she used to.
  17. Hey everyone, With all the Victoria's secret pics coming out and new faces everywhere, did it ever make you itch to become a model yourself? Share your experiences! As for me, I once got spotted by an agent when I was 17, but back then my sister was dealing with an eating disorder and I was slim, but not thin enough to be a successful fashion model (5'10 ft, 125 lbs). My mom wouldn't have it either and reading of all the culprits eventually scared me off. Instead I chose to pursue my studies and just graduated from Uni. I'm 22 now, way too old. But sometimes I can't help but thinking "what if?" I know it's wishful thinking, because I'm not nearly as pretty as the successful ones out there, but do you ever catch yourself thinking it?
  18. I hope this thread doesn't get cluttered with pics of peroxide blonde glamour models with implants the size of melons. At first I wanted to just put the names of my favorite blondes, but I always hate it when people do that and provide no pictures So here's my list: Tori Praver <-- HQ pic. Click it, it's worth it! Anna Selezneva (maybe not the hottest, but definitely beautiful) Janeta Samp (underrated model) Ruslana (RIP ) Daniela Pestova Ana BB (who isn't a real blonde but looks damn good that way) Petra Nemcova (see comment ana BB) Link to album with pictures.
  19. Great pictures, but I dislike how they always feel the need to photoshop her eyes into something unnatural. She's got great eyes as it is, why make them look vampiric, like in this picture?
  20. Hey, sorry to be repetitive (babyjude asked the same question) but who is that girl in your avvy? Great find bc she's gorgeous!

  21. I find that a pretty bold conclusion judging from a couple of snaps. There is no such thing as typical couple behavior. Not every couple clams up and holds hands all the time. I'm actually kinda happy that Irina doesn't seem to be the kind of girlfriend who is glued to his side like some insecure little girl. I for one, actually dislike holding hands in public. Love is a personal thing, I don't want this exclamation point hovering above my head all the time. Maybe Irina and Christian are the same. And yes, the paparazzi do make people like them value their privacy more. It's just that because we have no clue what their lives are like, that we are so easy to judge on it. Too bad she wasn't at VS though. I'd have really loved to see her. But maybe next year....
  22. Hey where did you get that siggy? It's awesome!

  23. Where other girls are struggling to get their foot in the door the old fashioned way, this chick gets arrested as a spy and as a reward she gets a magazine spread and an Apple contract for an I-phone app. How low has the world sunk? Here's the article I'm referring to.
  24. You're right, the word "supermodel" (and also topmodel) is being thrown around (a.k.a. abused) a lot these days. To me the definition of a supermodel is someone who manages to professionally unite the fashion industry with fame (as in: becoming a household name) and equally balance these two parts of her career. Now, this is pretty much impossible these days, because: a. The fashion industry alienates the mainstream b. Celebrities have taken over a huge part of the modeling market. I think the "supermodel" is past her prime and fading into the background. Even Gisele, who is one of the most famous working models isn't all that well known in the world. I took the liberty of asking around in my school. Surprise, out of 63 (of which 50 were girls) there were just a few that knew Gisele. Ofcourse this is not an objective representation, but I think it does say something about the industry. Even the fashionistas in my class (who have heard about Gisele and models like Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes) aren't really familiar with names like Lara Stone (who is from our country!) and other up and coming ones. Models are becoming more anonymous. I've stumbled upon many spreads where I couldn't find the name of the model. Also, the excessive thinness that's in right now (nostalgia from the Twiggy era) probably doesn't do much for the image of a model. I think you can still get big in the industry and in some way outside of it, but it will NEVER be what it once was when Cindy Crawford, Claudia Shiffer, etc. were the cream of the crop. That's what I think anyway.
