Fantastic actor. I probably most identify him with True Lies and Apollo 13, but honestly, he was great in everything.

Doctor Who
I enjoyed the Christmas special, but the previews of the next series and the new companion have yet to really set my pulse racing. I will still watch though, because I always do. Speculation for the next Doctor is always way more entertaining than the next James Bond, but since the series reboot pretty much all the choices have been good with me.

It's amazing how no-one 'in the know' has pointed out that Pearson survived 2014/15 in its entirety with a Leicester side sitting dead last in the Premier League for virtually a whole season, while Ranieri was only given until February despite not being in the relegation zone at any point.

Did you catch the second episode? It feels like the distinctive visuals have started to settle down a bit. You can easily see it unfolding into something very exciting, and of course, it doesn’t hurt that Dan Stevens is absolutely terrific in the lead role. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season now.- My 1000th post !!!
Here's to the next 35,000.- Football
The more money Man City spend on central defenders, the worse they seem to get. At this point, the only thing 'Big Johnny' Stones (© Steve McManaman) needs to completely morph into Santiago Vergini is to perfect the art of leathering a volley from the edge of his own box into his own goal while looking at the corner flag. Which I fully expect to happen in the second leg against Monaco. The lad Mbappe looks as if he could become a real star, though. If he's not sold for a packet within the next year or so, I'll be shocked.- I want to change my nickname/username - READ FIRST POST PRIOR TO REQUESTING

Did I mishear or did Bryce Dallas Howard call it the Millennium Falcum?- Legion
It's well worth checking out. I like the emphasis on character over superpowers so far, and I put a good deal of trust in Noah Hawley since Fargo has been consistently strong for a couple of seasons now.- Have You Ever...
Sadly, pizzeti has yet to reach our shores, but I'll be the first in line to try it if and when it does. Have you ever broken a bone?- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
The wheelie bins outside must be worth at least £15k a year in rent.- Football
Zola and Birmingham looks as much of a mismatch as Gus Poyet and Sunderland were back in the day. A flair manager who wants to play attractive football, doesn't have the squad to make it work, tries to spend his way out of trouble and somehow still manages to look five players short of having a decent side. Chances are, his managerial reputation won't survive another significant setback.- Football

The early reviews have been positively glowing. This could very easily be the next Deadpool in terms of being a relatively small-scale comic book adaptation that makes tons of money just based on its own merits.- Karlie Kloss
Bemused that a shoot which, even taken in isolation, would have been a pretty poor showing from Vogue, could have found its way into the magazine's proclaimed 'diversity' issue. How no-one called that into question at any point during the editing process simply beggars belief. It shouldn't have to be the public’s job to keep calling out magazines and celebrities for doing this kind of thing, and it shouldn't have to take a massive backlash for editors to step up and make better decisions.- The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War & Endgame (2012-2019)
Makes sense. Now that the Russos are further along in the process of looking at the story they want to tell, it's pretty understandable that changes are being made. And it might be for the best that they've done it, honestly. I was always a bit iffy on the notion of going into a movie knowing in advance that it would end in a sort of weird half resolution, and having to wait another year for the rest.- Legion
Hadn't really heard much about this one beforehand, but the debut episode was an unexpected delight. Very trippy, idiosyncratic, and a long way outside the norms of anything I’ve come to expect from a comic book adaptation. Visually stunning too, it even makes a lot of recent movies look fairly pedestrian by comparison. Anyone else watching or planning to watch?- Legion
