The Candi & Lais friendship is great.

Not really about her personal life! She owes much of her career to appearing in those Sia music videos. But apparently the collaboration on that one movie put a strain on their relationship. I haven't heard much about it since then.

Is this Maddie? Huh, she does look a bit like Candice when Candice just started out at VS! BTW, is Maddie still friends with Sia? I knew there was some drama there after the fall-out following that autism movie that Sia produced.

Taylor was a 19-year old girl at the time, whose only adult relationship had been with the much older (11 years difference) Gel Boy. So I will interpret a lot of her then behavior as his bad influence.

They were mocking him and doing "fake" bad accents at him. I didn't really blame Taylor at the time, other than for being naive enough to participate. It was clear from the context that Gel Boy had been the one to initiate things.

I mean it's not like you had to be a genius at judging character to know the dude was a major douche! Wasn't there this incident with him too in Paris where he started to racially abuse a person, totally unprovoked? Which he idiotically shared on his own social media. So apart from anything else, he was also not exactly sharp.

People who were abused/gaslit/manipulated in a relationship sometimes need some time to recover or even to realize what the other person did was not okay.

He always seemed like a major douchebag so this does not come as a huge surprise. Both him and the manager she had when she first started out always appeared like creeps to me.

Well some paparazzi shots are taken with the model/celebrity's consent. Others are even pre-arranged by the celeb in question. So I don't see the reasoning behind banning all pap shots.

It's even more striking when you compare her to her contemporary Petra Nemcova (who is one year younger). Whilst she has obviously aged, she still looks mostly the same as in her heyday.

These are supposedly all three semi-recent shots of her. But in all three I can still sort of recognize the old Marisa in them. I can't do that with the one you guys posted above. Are you sure it's even her in that one? Almost looks more like they photoshopped MJ Day's face into a picture of Marisa!

Well I'm exaggerating of course. I'm not claiming they are literally trying to make her look unattractive. But the entire style of their shoots is definitely not getting the maximum out of their models, especially if you compare it to their work for other companies. It's super-bland, almost as if they are trying to make everything look as neutral as possible.

It's like they get this incredibly beautiful model to work with and they go "okay how can me make her look as unattractive as we can manage?".

I love Maggie but I never get over how VS can manage to make her look so ordinary in some of their shots. She honestly looks better in many of her candids. I honestly don't know who does the art direction/styling for their shots, but it's so poorly done.
