Been messing around a bit with the Unity gaming engine. Mostly making very basic games following online guides. I have already figured out that the biggest issue is going to be blocking/animation/rigging. I have zero natural aptitude for that stuff.

Yeah. It's okay. At the same time I can understand how fans of the anime might not like everything that has been changed. They definitely have their own tone and focus. But Netflix has certainly given multiple season to far worse shows.

I'm surprised! It was panned by the critics but its viewing numbers were apparently good? Also a decent role for Elena Satine, whom I like.

Alan Wake 2 announced! Very happy with that news. Also surprised. I never thought we'd be getting a sequel 11 years after the original game.

There is an equivalent for this moment, in the 1950s cinemas were filled with westerns and there were dozens of western TV shows on the air on top of that. Mirrored now by the MCU as well as the Marvel TV shows on Disney+. Now the western is still around as a genre but it's very much a niche and no one expect a broad audience to go to the theater to see a western. I suspect superhero media will face a similar downfall at some point but it will probably take at least another decade, maybe more.

There is still lots of good cinema being made, but most of it outside of Hollywood, which is only interested in superhero movies and in recycling old IP.

Part of this is the fact that many voters outside of Europe refuse to vote for a European. Even Messi admitted that this was Lewa's year. And also last year...

This horse has bolted the stables many years ago. UAE is heavily invested in Man City. The Saudis just bought Newcastle. Qatar has PSG as their plaything. Football sold its soul many, many years ago. The Qatar WC is just the most grotesque and extreme exponent of that reality. Really, no self-respecting democracy should allow their team to compete at that tournament.

I can't believe that a dude essentially ran an underage prostitution ring for him and his wealthy pals and the only person who might go to jail over it (rightly so) is Ghislaine Maxwell. Literally none of the men who committed statutory rape with trafficked underage girls are going to spend even a minute in prison for it.
