  1. My impression is different from yours. I thought it took a long time to get going. Only the final two episodes felt like they had real stakes. The rest of the season seemed mostly about world-building and setting the table for the coming civil war. It still has failed in creating a large cast of likable/compelling characters. Probably it will never match Game of Thrones in that aspect.
  2. Her hips are very broad/pronounced for an otherwise very slender girl. It makes her stand out.
  3. Topic cleaned. Please do not post (borderline) libelous accusations about a model without any kind of proof!
  4. Yeah saw that yesterday. Seems like it's a new studio made up largely out of CDPR veterans, so a good chance this might actually be good.
  5. Yeah but you should realize that the books are very different from the series in that regard. For one thing, at the point of the story where the books are now, Sandor Clegane is just 29 years old. Whereas Rory McCann was already 42 in the first season of GoT. So they definitely went another way entirely with that character. There are many hints at the fact that GRRM at least at one point planned something between them. One thing is the mention of Sandor in every Sansa chapter bar one (even after she leaves King's Landing). She also keeps his bloodied cloak (from when he comes to her during the Battle of the Blackwater). As for Sansa's personality, it's true that they made her much more ruthless and cunning on the show, but that evolution is far less pronounced in the books. At least up to the point in the story where GRRM has gotten us. It might very well be that Sansa changes a lot more in the books too under the tutelage of Littlefinger. Should also note that the entire subplot of Ramsey Bolton marrying and raping her is also something entirely of the show. So that is a huge deviation already from the books in Sansa story line.
  6. Am I going crazy or is starting to look crazily like Cindy in a lot of her candids recently?
  7. I have no idea. I cannot imagine that the Daenerys ending will be like in the show. Or if it is, we get a slower progression to her becoming the villain. It felt all too rushed on the show. I also find the idea that GRRM would let Bran sit on the Iron Throne at the end of it weird. So I think that too will be resolved differently. Jon Snow going beyond the Wall after the war is over does seem more like a GRRM plot line. And I think San-San shippers might be right that Martin at least originally intended to have Sansa end up with Sandor Clegane. Apart from her dreams and the amount of times she thinks of him after she departs King's Landing (IIRC there is just one Sansa POV chapter in which Clegane isn't at least mentioned), there is also the vision of her dark-haired children (can't remember what book). Whether or not he still intends to do that remains to be seen.
  8. Her little smile in this video:
  9. I read the entire series in between season one and two of GoT. So I have been waiting for the sixth book for around a decade now.
  10. GRRM has been working on this one for eleven years. If he still has a quarter of the book to write, then we are looking at 14, possibly 15 years before he is done. There is no way he will ever finish the seventh book at that tempo. He might be pushing eighty by the time he releases Winds of Winter. If it ever gets released.
  11. What happened to her career? It's been ages since I saw her in anything.
  12. Enjoyed the first two episodes of Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities. Especially the first one. Tim Blake Nelson is great in such roles. Very keen to see the rest of the series (they are dropping two new episodes each day this week until Friday).
  13. Brothers Kermit and Oscar Tully and their pal Benjicot Blackwood. AKA Bloody Ben. I think possibly the kid we saw killing the Bracken when Rhaenyra was considering suitors is meant to be young Benjicot. Though I think they gave him another name in that episode? He might also not be him and just a relative (most likely a cousin then). They are three young commanders of the Riverlands troops that will support the Blacks. But they only feature towards the end of the war so I think we might only see them in season three or four.
  14. I know they probably won't even feature in Season two yet but I do hope House of the Dragon eventually gives us the Lads.

The woman is aging like fine wine.
  16. I think they probably did it to make Aemond not a total villain, but in the books it's much more of a clear murder attempt. Also, Borros Baratheon does more of a real attempt to protect Prince Lucerys. Strangely they seemed to decide to make Aemond more sympathetic and Borros less so.
  17. I thought the Aemond Lucerys stuff was handled poorly. I don't think it's meant to be interpreted as an accident in the books. So why would they portray it as such in the TV show?
  18. Shame she didn't keep her natural face.
  19. 2024 Same with Rings of Power season two.
  20. @Cult Icon Based on the episode ten trailer, it will feature I'm surprised, I thought that was going to be a moment they were saving for season two!
  21. Looking great! She turns 37 in March, which is crazy. She can easily lie ten years about her age.
  22. Sigh. It's not about the illusion of the U.S. being perfect or the U.S. not serving their own interests. Obviously they are doing some war profiteering with their gas deliveries to the EU as well. But can any sane person truly say they would rather live under the sphere of influence of Russia than of the U.S.? I know which of the two I prefer.
  23. LOL! As if it was an original idea of Trump's that Europe's dependence on Russian gas was problematic. This has been a discussion for literal decades, with many other European countries criticizing Germany for their choices. In truth it's not hard to see how that happened, Putin bought lots of soft power by reeling in the likes of Schröder & co. That's why it's dangerous to allow Russian money to pour into our democracies, as I stated some posts back.
