I think he is pretty happy with his career. Remember that before Koeman picked him up at Feyenoord, he had never amounted to much. Now he's had a couple of good seasons at Southampton and he's become a full Italy international. If people had told him this back in 2012, he probably would have called them crazy. There is nothing wrong with consenting adults of any age hooking up, but there is a point where it becomes a bit sad. Like Mick Jagger impregnating his 29-year old girlfriend at the age of 72. Likewise, it's a bit weird for a 42-year old man like Leo to still be macking on chicks in their early 20s. Especially since at least some of his old possé have moved on (e.g. Tobey Maguire).

I think Kate is someone he views more as a buddy than as a potential girlfriend. Probably also why the relationship has lasted this long, unlike his romantic relationships with women.
