If you want to realize just how bad this line-up is, go back even just ten years and compare the kind of models they still had back then to the current line-up. Don't even get me started on the early noughties and nineties line-ups compared to this crop. M.J. Day has utterly devalued the issue. The slide had already commenced before her tenure, but she has certainly acted as a catalyst to make it even worse than it should have been.

So in terms of Hannah Ferguson not being there, she seems to have branched out a bit in the last year or so and I guess it would make sense that she felt like she had done all she could with SISE. But Bojana Krsmanovic doesn't seem like she would have said no to a return and I had the impression she was one of M.J.'s favorites of the recent crop, so why is she not in this issue? Also, whilst Kate Upton has far from the worst shoot this year (I think she is somewhere in the middle of the pack for me, though nearer the top end of the middle than the bottom end), she lacks the sparkle she had at her SISE peak. I kind of have the feeling she has returned but her heart isn't fully in it any more.

I can't believe that Catrinel will probably end her career having never been in SISE. One of the greats who never even got a chance.

I'm not a huge fan of Vita - not that I dislike her or anything - but she has one of the better shoots this year, in spite of the rather horrendous choice of swimsuits they have her in. Though considering the quality overall of this year's issue, it's not that much of an ask to be one of the better (or should I say less crappy) shoots.

My 2 cents based on what I have already seen: Lais is my favorite again, even though I liked this shoot a lot less than the one she did last year Alexis is better than expected, but every single one of her photographs is ruined by those collagen lips, which are impossible to ignore I really like Olivia Culpo too and I'm a bit bummed out that they didn't give her a proper swimsuit shoot instead of the dollar store black & white activism shoot

Wow, those Lou Lingerie shots, her body is amazing.

This year's SISE will be like when Homer Simpson got to design a car and the unveiling of the issue will be like when they revealed his design at the auto show.

One thing I hadn't realized until now is that Bregje is yet to turn 25! How? In my mind she has been around for like, forever. Thanks for the Maxim shots, @lostdiadem

One underrated thing about this video is how 52-year old Paulina Porizkova still blows Robyn Lawley out of the water. Not just because of their respective bodies, but because Paulina is so quite obviously superior at the job of being a model. Though it's also a sad reflection of how far SISE has slipped since its heyday.

Damn, she's turned the dial to 11 with that dress.

Is Connor Hannah Davis' brother? I know that she once used to date Hannah Davis' brother but I don't know if it's the same guy.

Wow, these last few sets of candids, the woman looks spectacular!

Stephanie is a good model and she isn't plus-sized, so she has about as good a chance of landing in next year's issue as I do!

And let her buddy Melody Le come along. I love seeing those two together.

It would be nice if M.J. used some of that energy she is putting into all this pseudo-activism into creating a half-way decent swimsuit issue.

I mean, why not have a golfer who isn't great at golf when you already have models who aren't great at modeling in the issue?

So might this be the year in which many of the athletes look better than the models?
