I'll post the first 7 words of a song, and the next person has to post the next seven until we finish the song. After we're done with a song, the next person to post after the song is completed will start a new song of his/her choice including the artist and the song title. Also, if the chorus repeats itself in the song, we'll repeat it in the exact order. One more thing, If you don't know the lyrics to the song, search for it on www.google.com!!!! I'll start with... "Thanks For The Memories" by Fall Out Boy I'm gonna make you bend and break

I just picked up a copy of Kulcha Don's album, It's All About You from work at UMVD. I had never heard of him before but his album really appealed to me. Have any of you heard of him? He has been compared to Sean Paul and his album features Beenie Man. I have included a link of the single Drive You Crazy. Check it out and let me know if you like it. http://www.respectmanagement.com/kulchadon.htm

http://www.audioscrobbler.com/ Audioscrobbler Overview Audioscrobbler is a computer system that builds up a detailed profile of your musical taste. After installing an Audioscrobbler Plugin, your computer sends the name of every song you play to the Audioscrobbler Server. With this information, the Audioscrobbler server builds you a 'Musical Profile'. Statistics from your Musical Profile are shown on your Audioscrobbler User Page, available for everyone to view. There are lots of people using Audioscrobbler, but you probably won't be interested in most of them. The Audioscrobbler Server calculates which people are most similar to you, based on shared musical taste, so …

Different forms of art always influence each other in some way and there's quite a special relation between music and literature. Be it by musicalizing a specific work, such as a piece of poetry, or by taking inspiration by a novel or tale. Examples are many, both in Classical Music and in Popular Music. I'll start with one of my favorite bands taking inspiration from one of my favorite literary works: Led Zeppelin and J.R.R. Tolkien's works. There's many of these - Robert Plant is quite a Tolkien fan - so I'll start with these two: The Battle Of Evermore with some The Silmarillion and The Lord Of The Rings elements in it: …

I thought this might be an interesting thread idea. Just someplace to post lyrics that touch you in anyway. Whether they inspire you or maybe they just can't get out of your head. One song I haven't been able to get out of my head for nearly a month now is "That's All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. I've always loved this song, but since I've seen the movie like four times already, it's permanently affixed. Not to mention it's got special meaning RAOUL No more talk of darkness, Forget these wide-eyed fears. I'm here, nothing can harm you - my words will warm and calm you. Let me be your freedom, let daylight dry your tears. I'm here, with you, …

Anyone heard Mannheim Steamroller's new cd "Christmasville"? It's pretty good and they have a huge contest going on right now that I'm dying to win! The winner gets two free tickets to see them perform in any city of their choice. Their instrumental music is different and it rocks. Here's the link if you wanna enter http://www.popculturemadness.com/CONTEST.html Joy Fontana

Let's kick off 2023 with a new game This will follow the same principle of "The Cover Or The Original?" but it will be much more general. For each round we will face two different versions of the same song. But it doesn't have to be the original vs a cover version. It can be 2 different covers, none being the original; or it can be an early career version vs a late career version by the same artist... or the studio recording vs a live performance... or two different live performances... you name it! It's all valid as long as it is the same song. Same as in "The Cover Or The Original", the next participant will choose which version they prefer …

I recently started listening to Megadeth fairly heavily. Now, quite a long time ago I had gotten the album Youthanasia from the local library, and I really liked it. After that I always found some reason to keep putting off buying an album. Finally, this Christmas I used one of my gift cards to buy Rust In Peace. I was deeply impressed. I was expecting an album with a few good tracks, and a lot of filler. But it's really solid all the way through; sure, some tracks aren't as good as "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due" or "Hangar 18," but songs like "Poison Was The Cure" and "Lucretia," that aren't nearly as well known, are brilliant. Literally my only complaint with the alb…
