Last nights episode could've been at least 30 minutes shorter.

There's hints of her being mad throughout the seasons, Jorah just talks her out of it.

Examples?

She threatened to burn cities into the ground throughout the seasons.

I really did not think that twist was a twist. At the beginning of the ep, Hubs and I both said, “that’s it, she’s gone.” Couple that with how Jon was treating her just solidified the resolve to do what she did.

I thought that Dany’s head space when she was riding her baby was not madness, but more in a get the ones who took her beloveds away from her.

I did enjoy Maisy’s scenes in this one. Especially her last one.

The Hound's end

was bittersweet as he died a heroes' death.  He had one of the best stories/redemption arcs in the series.  I would have liked to know more about who the Mountain was other than a boogeyman

I liked Arya's

turn away from death but the turn seemed too abrupt.  Why stop now when she was so close?  didn't make sense to me.

Not a fan of

Ceisei/Jaime's final arcs, - so much more could have been done.

I think that played a part in it (revenge, which was Grey Worm's primarily motive for trying to stop the surrender process) but it was also her anger at losing her entitlement to Jon and how her remaining allies weren't trustworthy.

I felt that the episode didn't properly show that she wanted to ruin her goodwill and alliances in Westeros with this one fatal move.  She was certainly down that road, though.

ep 3, 4, 5 spoilers were correct.  half of the Ep 6 spoilers are all over the place

Bran (big brother/wikipedia) as the ruler would be the most stupid thing if it happens. Next to Bronn on the king's council.  Anyone could have made better fiction.

Maybe it's a cliff-hanger

Cersei, Jaime, and the NK are alive!.

or Cersei dies at the age of 80 with a bellyfull of wine and Jaime's cock in her mouth.

Sad that GOT is over; for me there is no other show that I'm interested in except for the final part of Vikings this Nov

+ Season 7 was in a way a wasted opportunity- all the filler content could have been deleted/truncated to allocate more content to the White walkers/final battle.  S7 could have ended with pre-battle content of S8 and the white walker battle could have been 801 (or the final episode of S7)

played important role in her atrocity.   (Besides the Jon Snow lineage and troubles with Westeros leaders/and advises)  If she didn't do the atrocity, the writers wouldn't have to include the deaths of her best friends who had moderated her impulses.  On second thought, I wonder what the motive behind the atrocity was (largely to show the other politicos that she won't play nice and be pushed around anymore) or her snapping.

I was talking more about the crowd and how it can easily become violent, including a revolutionary crowd that fights for "justice"... I've read quite a lot on the French revolution and there was many cases of angry crowds. On rainy days, there were red rivers in the streets and, during frenzies, crowds killed women and children who were deemed anti-revolutionary. Now, they also made great things, but there's always violence in these events and revengeful crowds can be uncontrollable.

Going back to GOT, it surprised me that Unsullied became wild/uncontrollable. Crowds or wild troops can unleash wild violences, but the Unsullied are trained and disciplined soldiers. Their behavior was a bit surprising. Even if they are faithful to Dany and saw her burn the city, it's not a big enough signal for attacking mercilessly defenseless soliders/people (from the ground they couldn't see what she attacked, maybe she was destroying some last defenses - they reacted a bit too quickly imho and Jon, who's one of Dany's lieutenants, told them to stop). Maybe, the best explanation is that Grey Worm's personal vengeful feelings got the best of him, and they all blindly followed.

Dany's progression is a complex subject. It seems to me that she always had a duality, between angry feelings and a sense of justice.  Before King's landing, the fact people always saw her as a savior probably eased her angry impulses and strengthened her sense of justice. Then, in King's landing, she's not "praised" and she's not seen positively, so it may have helped to resurface her angry feelings and to soften her sense of justice (she says so herself, something like "if I can't rule with love here, I will rule with fear").

You're right, I think that a lot of her advisors were moderating forces as well, like Jorah and Missandei, but also Varys and Tyrion (Tyrion is still alive, but I think that she gives him less importance after some of his actions that she saw as "failures")
