It's not surprising tho, trends come and go. Insta girls were a trend that it's (finally) starting to die down, VS Angels were also a trend and it's gone ... We shall see what the new trend is for this year but so far it seems like no big names walked dozens of shows

It doesn’t even seem the girls are trying though! Maybe they are taking the season off. 

I think a lot of castings are done in NY , and probably they get a look and feel on how would they do the season an for that they decided not to go to Milan (and maybe Paris?)

Rumor is the models made it a big thing this year for VS to not make the instafamous girls more special (basically no Kenny) and maybe that's going further in the industry. But this was hardly unexpected.
