Victoria’s Secret to Bring Back Annual Fashion Show After Five-year Hiatus With Runway, ‘Iconic’ Wings and Redefined Company Era

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back in 2024, the lingerie retailer announced on Wednesday.

“We’ve read the comments and heard you,” a post to the company’s Instagram reads. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love — the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment and more. Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here.”

After canceling the annual television special in 2019, Victoria’s Secret returned to the small screen last year with “The Victoria’s Secret World Tour.” Airing on Prime, the documentary highlighted the VS20, a group of 20 global creatives who conceived custom looks for the brand’s runway models.

“This film is the ultimate expression of the Victoria’s Secret brand transformation,” Raúl Martinez, executive vice president and head creative director of Victoria’s Secret, said at the time. “It will be driven by fashion, glamour and entertainment with a nod to beloved iconography from the past but in a bold, redefined way. We are so honored to offer our platform and have it explored through the lens and artistry of global creatives who celebrate the individuality of women’s stories and perspectives.”

The film represented a new era for Victoria’s Secret, which was plagued with accusations of workplace toxicity amid the burgeoning #MeToo movement.

Ed Razek, the Fashion Show’s longtime chief marketing officer, left the company in 2019 after receiving backlash for his stance on refusing to hire plus-sized or transgender models. A 2020 expose in the New York Times further exposed Victoria’s Secret’s alleged “culture of misogyny, bullying and harassment.”

A date for the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has not yet been announced, though it was confirmed that the event will return in the fall.

I am glad they are bringing the Angel concept back. Aside from that, I'll wait and see.

I'm curious to see who the Creative team is, and se the direction they're heading

 

Every time when I hear news about the show coming back, I always get reminded of how I used to spent time on drawing my own VSFS outfit ideas for many years which resulted in over 300+ ideas.

Wow Candice looks fabulous. It looks like they actually put in effort in this photo shoot. 
 

Taylor’s short hair is absolute travesty in my personal opinion. 

VS doing nearly a 360 and bringing back the same models from the old days is both hilarious and amazing  Behati and Candice look amazing tho.

 

Agree on Taylor's hair, I passionately dislike it, I really how she grows it out because it ain't it.
