I was thinking about this since it got brought up in Elsa's thread re: waiting for her Pink contract to end before promoting her, but I'm wondering if a possible theory on Jo not getting a contract is that she had an existing VS contract that they didn't want to deal with buying out of?

I'm still not convinced that they're going to sign any more Angels after signing ten on less than a year ago, but if anyone is going to get signed or replace someone, it'll be her. 

 

This is brought up all the time but now that the show has passed- who do you think is staying and who is likely going? 

Don't quote me on it but I think they're shooting the Swim special next week, and if 2014/2015 is anything to use as a guide then whoever doesn't make it there is out and uncontracted girls who make it are probably on their way to a contract.

Rachel is going to St. Barth's next week. Guess they're going to include a Pink section this year, if they are shooting the special next week. 

Taylor, Elsa and Sara are safe IMO. The others ... I'm not too sure. As much as it pains me to say it and simply basing on her amount of work for VS, Kate is most likely to get the boot. She's a great model but they don't use her AT ALL besides a few shoots and the VS show.

I want them to keep Stella,Jac,Sara,and Taylor from the new Angels.

Kate has never done swim special can't count that.

On a side note, they love Elsa and Sara yet Kate closed a segment for the show and had 2 wings. I don't think they all got 2 wings? so who knows? VS is unpredictable.

I'm just hoping Jo isn't gettin' the "Lais treatment" and be with them kicking her ass throughout the whole year without the Angel status for years.

Taylor and Sara werent in the swim special either yet she got signed them because the contracts were signed after the swim special was shot. I do think they are contractually obligated to shoot the swim special so if someone doesn't make it may be a sign, everyone said it wasn't a big deal when Doutzen and Karlie didn't show up last year and they were gone this year. Elsa had the Holiday cover and Sara is the face of both the fragrance and bra they are currently promoting, which is a bigger deal than getting two wings or closing a segment, especially when everyone and their mammas are getting wings anyway (i.e Sui He had two swings and I think Lily D too?)

 

Not saying Kate is out for sure, I particularly like her but if she doesn't make it to the swim special which will air by the time her one year contract expires, she's most likely out. I think Lily and Alessandra are on the way out too but we'll see, let's see who makes it to the credits/segments for the show o.o

You could work for VS all year and it clearly doesn't mean anything these days Just have 1m followers on IG and you're the next angel

I like Kate, she's great for runway, and the little work she has done with VS is great, but if I'm looking back on the shoots correctly, the last time she shot was May. And I know a few people have made the point that we don't know what's happening in her life but at the end of the day VS is a business, and they're not going to keep on a girl they have to continually make exceptions for. I might have a legitimate reason for missing work, but if it keeps happening and happening my boss is eventually going to let me go. Has Kate ever done anything apart from clothing and the cotton Body line?

Do we still suspect Elsa signed her contract before the other nine? I think her renewal date would have passed by now.

^ I always thought that Elsa and maybe Jasmine and Martha signed before the others New Angels. Especially Elsa since she was with the Angels in the front last year on the plane to the show in London and all the press. She even said in the interview that she was an Angel.

I'm 99.9% sure Elsa signed before the other girls. IMG updated her profile to say she had an Angel contract back in November or October of last year, and then removed it around the time the new Angels were signed. I'm guessing VS wanted to announce all the new girls at once, and asked them to take it out until they had done their press release.

I think I read somewhere that they signed in February? I could be remembering that wrong. I'll try to find the interview. 

I remember in April Kate gave an interview for a Russian magazine where she talked about her contract so I'm guessing she signed a contract between December and April.

I remember something about February too but I think it was just Sara saying that about her own contract... or Taylor idk. I might be wrong though.

Elsa was 100% signed before the others. And I think Martha and Jasmine too. By the time they filmed the VSFS last year Elsa was already signed, I don't think she was signed for just a year tbh, I think that because she came from Pink she got a three year like Behati did when she moved up. I think Martha and Jasmine signed right around the date of the show. Not sure about Lais, because she didn't make it to the Swim special which was just plain odd.

 

I think Sara, Jac and Romee confirmed they signed in February, that's way after Elsa did  because from what know she confirmed in 2014 while doing interviews for the show that she mad been moved up from Pink and IMG indeed did update her page including her VS status. I think Sara, Jac, Romee, Kate, Taylor and Stella all signed in February so we'll see what happens because contracts are expiring soon, as much as I adore Stella I hope she gets dropped, I always knew she wasn't angel material, she just doesn't cut it in terms of personality, and it's not because she's not dumb smiling all the time like the others, is just that she works great for lingerie but that's it, she doesn't do it for swim and she is painfully awkward in interviews and anything PR related, I hope they keep her around do catalog and the show tho, I was talking to Pretty about this the other, I adore Stella's work but I don't think making her an Angel was the smartest choice. 

I watched the fashionTV video with Romee and Stella, and it was painful to hear Stella talk.  She looks so disinterested when Romee was speaking too. Gorgeous girl for lingerie, but terrible spokesperson. 

 

If anyone cares, Kelly, Jo, Bridget, and Blanca all did white wall stuff this week. I'm glad they haven't dropped Blanca completely- hopefully her and Kelly make a comeback for next year's show.
