I was thinking the same thing about the shoot being released. They've already filmed the BBV commercial, and I'm assuming this is the campaign to accompany it, so I think we'll be seeing it relatively soon. The interview bits that the girls filmed today for Bombshell Day are already on instagram, so they're obviously not wasting any time with this bunch.

If they're smart they'll release these images and whatever else sooner rather than later to keep whatever momentum they have going with these girls. If they're serious about trying to make big names out of them then they're going to have to basically saturate the market with them (I think). At least until they become more well known with the public.

The real question is, how long will VS take to release the stuff from this week shoots? They usually take months to release stuff but the shoots are kept under wraps, this time they went all out announcing the Angels, making the shoots public and etc so It would make sense to release stuff earlier?

 

Also lolz at the "first shoot as Angels" BS when clearly some of the girls have shot stuff for months already, like Elsa is on the cover of the next catalog coming out for Bombshell Which reminds me, VS took down the server for their catalog covers so leaking stuff will be a bitch now again.

 

Aww, there was a catalog cover server thing and I'm only finding out now that it's down?  A browser is not enough. I want a source for covers too. *cue irrational argument about how I'd totally have a server for covers if only Sara hadn't become an Angel*

 

 

Speaking of the browser though, it's been pretty quiet the last couple days. I'm hoping that means they're hard at work on the new stuff and taking a break from putting out the older stuff.

Sometimes Jac reminds me of Alexis Blediel. Not a bad thing !

My two cents on the new Angels:

 

The only one who looks like she belongs is Taylor Marie Hill, but even her face isn't quite model-y enough for me. Lais and Jasmine are OK, but honestly I have a hard time telling them apart.  **Edit** OK, Lais and Jasmine look the part. I just glanced at photos of them from VSFS, and compared to the rest at least, they are among the best.  They do still look similar to me, though.

 

The others...just no.  Too skinny, not memorable, etc.

 

Sara is a less pretty version of Adriana to me.  Her body and face don't look that model-y to me, either...she looks like a soccer player or something.

I had mentioned it before VS took down the catalog server. As for the browser, there hasn't been anything new, they've just been uploading merchandise images. I think next week we'll get another batch of images.

I'm also starting to believe they hired the 10 girls to have more diversity. They can't stop bragging about all the countries these girls are from.

They should've shot the Angels in a better set than that dull looking one and with lingerie. Apparently what they shot is for BBV/Clothing.

I think even the BBV set has some brighter color patterns so it would have added a bit of something.

I think that for once, they wanted the focus on the girls and not as much in the lingerie so they had to go with a neutral background to let them stans out and not get lost.

I get what you're saying, explains why they went with the simple BBV.

When do we think these girls were contracted? The contract period has obviously started. I think when they shot the BBV commercial is when they signed. Also I knew something was super suspicious because at that time the Swim Special was about to air. Taylor, Sara, Lais and Romee all told their followers to tune in even though they weren't apart of it. I said maybe they're contracted as they have no obligations to promote it other then being nice or because they're told too. Which is what I thought is the case. People shot me down. Haha I was right

Yeah, they signed around those days... also Jac posted something about "celebrating great things to come" around those days.

And Sara tweeted something about dreams coming true in the middle of February.

 

I wonder if that's also when previous contracts were hammered out/girls signed in the past with the vets.

Here's my thoughts: 

 

1) Fantastic for all the girls, a heartfelt congrats to them all!   I'm excited for all of them. Can't wait to see how they all develop in the next year. I'm happy to see a few of the gals who got the contracts.  (And I'm sure if any of y'all paid attention through the years, you'll know who I'm talking 'bout.) 

 

2) Bear with me here.  What Brian just posted above, mirrors my thought when I first read this that it makes sense. VS hires/contracts girls from certain countries.  Countries that they may have interest in expanding to, such as; Russia: Kate, Portugal: Sara, Poland: Jac, Ireland/New Zeland/elsewhere: Stella, The Netherlands: Romee, Sweden: Elsa. 

 

3) As it's been said, VS is business.  It makes sense to me that they would hire women from countries that they want to expand to, or test the markets in. 

I hope this makes sense to someone else.

Apparently Romee gave some interviews in January that suggested she had been contracted.

Elsa has known since like hum, November? By the time of the show she already knew about it so that's a while and I'm assuming that Lais, Martha and Jasmine know since around that date too and then I would say that Jac and Stella probably knew before the Swim Special aired.
