Hillary Clinton has a simple explanation for why she accepted $675,000 from Goldman Sachs to give three speeches after she was secretary of state.

“That’s what they offered,” Clinton said during CNN’s town hall event in Derry, N.H., on Wednesday. “You know, every secretary of state that I know has done that.”

That fact she accepted because everyone else has shows we need someone who can think for themselves before big money and special interests does it for her :banghead:

@PinkCouture It's no surprise either, between the banks cushion money, the now spreading Monsanto interest, her flip-flip with gay marriage and the war in Iraq. She is not having the best image with many young voters. Bernie is taking young votes in the 70-80 percentile if not more :o  Feel the Bern!

^ That is true but he isn't doing too well with minority voters :/

As long as a Republican doesn't win, esp. Ass-Clown Ted Cruz (there is something extremely disingenuous about him) or Trump, I am ok. One thing I would say about Trump is he is PR GOLD. He knows how to to play up to the general public and his supporters. Him not being at the Iowa debate was GENIUS! Although he wasn't there physically his presence was totally present.

^ That is perplexing considering many of his ideas and policies would positively help them more than any other candidate :idk: Sorry to say, I think the reason he is not doing well with minority voters is the whole "old white man complex" many see with him on sight only :pinch:

Jeezes heck, Ted Cruz... :ninja: He is the definition of someone marred in special interest money O.o Cruz panders to people as does Trump even though Trump takes it to another comical level. And there is something "extremely disingenuous " about Cruz due to a lot of the rhetoric and out right lies he spews forth :banghead: He's more dangerous than any overseas threat to this country :ninja:

@ILUVAdrianaLima I agree, many his ideas would benefit minority groups b/c it would benefit the general public & the common good. I think he isn't doing as well with minority groups b/c he hasn't done a lot of campaigning and outreach targeted at them. I don't think minorities dislike him. It is just they feel they know Hilary better b/c her campaign has reached out to them.

I do like Sanders however when it comes to foreign policies I am more comfortable with Hilary (which isn't saying much). As I said before, it is not about voting for the best candidate (b/c there isn't one) but who is the lesser of the evils.

His rhetoric is exactly what I am talking about! The fact he makes up shit adds to his shadiness. Of all the candidates he presents himself in the most shadiest way. #UntrusTED.  I thought John Edwards was The Shady King---he could definitely give Ted a run for his money. No pun intended.

Everytime I see Ted I just want to laugh b/c there is something funny looking about him...

@jj3 To sum it up as best I can; even though I can't bring it into full light with a simple paragraph, the complex I speak of that is very prevalent in many minority minds has to do with the treatment of people of color here in the states during the days of segregation and Jim Crow laws and how the ghettos, barrios, and other minority communities developed due to lack of representation and equal opportunities. This does not persist today in the same way as it did many decades ago but the sentiment is still there over "the old white man" that was behind a lot of the policies and laws that affected those of color in the past and still do to a degree today.

To add to your point, based on my experience people who don't live in the USA often have difficulties in understanding the racial issue we have here. It is complex (often in a subtle, indirect, micro-aggressive way) and there's deep-rooted history with many of layers.

Going back to the point in my previous post, I do think he is dealing with  "old white man complex" b/c he hasn't made a lot of effort to reach out and talk to minority groups. If he did I think most minorities would vote for him b/c his ideas are of interest to them :)

@PinkCouture Correct, his policies would benefit EVERYONE as a whole, including the wealthy due to the fact that a stronger middle class as he wants would mean higher discretionary spending and that has a direct impact on our economic growth. Sadly some of it really is what I labeled in my past message simply because I've heard it with my own ears. So yes, his campaign needs to maybe target minority communities even more but the fact of the matter is, he is a candidate of all the people so hopefully they can hear that message via all outlets possible. Hilary knows she can use her mans name to push her ahead and she is milking that in every which way :dead_horse:

Hmm, I wish more people heard his stances on geopolitical affairs. Bernie is well vested on Middle East affairs and he called out each and every war for what it was. Specifically pointing to the areas make-up on a demographic basis and how a power vacuum would just create instability with those seeking the new power opportunity which simply translates to terrorists. Long and behold, that is what we have in many regions in the area now :ninja: Hilary with her "supposed" qualifications couldn't see the problem for what it was and still voted for the 2nd Iraq war because that was the high poll count at the given time :banghead: Once again, someone who can't think for themselves other than what is most popular polling opinion to side with. Bernie even put the first Iraq war on the record by giving a speech about it's ill doings in a completely empty room. And this before C-Span in every home, YouTube, and social media as a whole.

As many of said, Ted Cruz has that type of smug look that makes you want to punch him! :p

@ILUVAdrianaLima I must say if Bernie does become POTUS the chances of us participating in unnecessary wars would be highly unlikely. I think he would follow Carter's footsteps but it is too early to tell. And you do make a good point about Hillary voting for the Iraq War. It was one of the main reasons she lost the last time she attempted to be POTUS. She pretty much handed over the nomination to Obama on a silver platter with that one. Really hoping she learned from her mistakes and make better judgements moving forward. If I had a choice between her and one of those on the Right, I would pick her!

I also think she is also hoping to bank on and ride on the coattail of Bill. Although he's a total sleaze he was a decent president. Also, I know people who have met him and they all have said he is very charming, charismatic and compelling. He is the type of guy even if you dislike him, once you meet him you can't resist to be drawn and fascinated by him. I think that's why he is campaigning for her now b/c Bernie is slowly catching up to her and she lacks the likeability, persuasiveness and warmth her husband has (regardless if it is genuine or not).

Another smugface people seem to want to punch is Paul Ryan!

BTW, another politician I think is mad shady but is charming and I kinds like is your Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom :p
