This has been escalating since Wednesday.

And now we have military in the streets. The incompetence of the government at handling this so far has been remarkable.

Yep...

There's protests all over the country now. Not just Santiago (though the curfew and State of Emergency are only in effect in Santiago)

If someone can spread the videos of dead and shot protesters at the hands of the police in forums around the world, it would be great to help. This shit is being totally censored

Seems like governmental incompetence made it even worse. :idk:

I only saw that burning building and that's all I've seen and/or heard about the protesting other than you guys.

I wouldn't say censored, but total suppression instead.

The dead protester was refuted as far as I know. Still... he may not have been killed but was shot all the same. This is horrible.

Unless there has actually been someone killed I haven’t heard of?

There was a video I can no longer find, but I did find this one from yesterday too.

It’s very graphic...

Spoiler

Yeah, it did...

And now with the curfew I'm afraid things will get ugly(ier).

The rise on the public transport ticket was announced this evening to be revoked. Just a little late... But the ticket's rise is only the tip of the iceberg of much bigger issues.

No worries, stay safe guys!!

Steven’s flavor of humor is very much like my own.

It's too bad that he didn't release more albums with original content.  Between his two albums I think the first one is slightly better than the second.

In my college /late teen years, I was a fan of Denis Leary.  I was angry,  aggressive, critical and loud at the time too.  Now I'm much different and he doesn't appeal to me anymore.

Turns out, he plagiarized Bill Hicks a great deal.

What I find amazing about Leary is that he’s still the voice of Ford trucks, coming close to 30 years.

I liked some of the shows he acted in.

His early years before making it mainstream was his monologues for MTV, (One in particular about Cindy Crawford was interesting), and the super early stand up we’re funny at the time.

When Sam Kinison, Leary, Robin Williams, Eddy Murphy, (and others that I can’t remember) were airing specials on HBO, my friends and I curled up in my room with snacks and we’d watch them. Good times in the late 80’s to early 90’s.

And it could be that I’m remembering through hazy rose colored memories.

I saw Leary once outside of a hotel in NY. I kind of remember the things you are mentioning.  I see him most as the stand-up guy.  He was one of the "tough crowd" with Colin Quinn performers.

I don't get Sam Kinison.  He seems like a loon, maybe I don't get it yet.

@Prettyphile

Would I have gotten another warning point if I said "Failed Socialism" for the team I picked in the BZ CON?

I was very close to doing so, but decided against it.
