OMG I hated the video, too. I made myself watch the whole thing just to make sure that my opinion was that I didn't like it, and I was right. It was awful!

 

I LOVE Miranda but I feel like this was completely forced. I watch her interviews and other videos a lot and this one was the only one that I've ever had the urge to exit out of. But I'm not always going to like what she does so it's ok. I just like her more calm nature, she was a great peaceful presence and I prefer that to whatever the hell she was doing in that video.

Ok, I hated the video too but I totally agree with you about Vogue still having her on their radar. So you're right there and I'm glad they are still using her. I loved her closet video (can't remember who she did it with) and I loved her interviews. This one just didn't do it for me.

I actually think it’s entirely possible she did not sleep with the Malaysian man. He seems the type that could be kept spending money without having to give him much more than a hug, a smile, and a kiss on the cheek. She knows that men would do anything to get to sleep with a VS model. If a regular guy had a chance to court any of these women, they would max out their credit cards, spend their 401k and ask for the family heirloom ring to impress the girl.

 

I think her goal was to land a billionaire. She’s been with THREE it seems. She did the Hollywood star thing already so I think she decided to pursue some serious money after that.

 

I suspect that her technique to have a billionaire fall for her is withholding sex while being sexy and flirty i.e. keep them wanting more till she is satisfied with her position.

 

Not saying models being high class escorts doesn’t happen but I think Miranda was able the play the game at a higher level than an escort or a sugar baby due to her status as a top model.

@Smarf I understand how it can seem naïve. BUT take into account that the man gifted millions of dollars' worth of valuables to Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese as well. Low Taek Jho (aka Jho Low) is a Malaysian financier and the beneficiary of numerous discretionary trust assets said by the U.S. Government to originate from corrupt payments out of the Malaysian 1MDB fund. (Yes, this is the same scandal in which Leonardo DiCaprio is involved.) They basically stole billions of dollars that were supposed to be spent helping poor Malaysian people.

 

Miranda Kerr had a special “friendship” with this scummy businessman. Miranda Kerr spent over a year with Jho Low, yachting with him and accepting MILLIONS of dollars worth of “gifts” from him.

 

Yet, she didn’t talk about their relationship on social media. And there were no photos of them together. That’s… odd, isn’t it?

MIRANDA KERR TURNS OVER $8.1 IN JEWELS EX BOUGHT WITH GOVERNMENT FUNDS

 

Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has turned over jewelry worth $8.1 million to the U.S. Department of Justice that she received from an ex-boyfriend, Malaysian businessman Low Taek Jho, in 2014.

 

Kerr’s representative, Mark Fabiani, confirmed that she transferred the jewelry from her safety-deposit box in Los Angeles to government agents on Friday. One of the pieces was an 8.8-carat pink diamond pendant, listed in a civil lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice on June 15 in Los Angeles.

 

“From the start of the inquiry, Miranda Kerr cooperated fully and pledged to turn over the gifts of jewelry to the government,” Fabiani said in a statement to USA TODAY. “Ms. Kerr will continue to assist with the inquiry in any way she can.”

 

The Department of Justice has been assisting the Malaysian government in tracking and recovering stolen funds spent in the United States. Some $4.5 billion was pilfered in all, Britain’s The Guardian reports.

 

According to multiple media accounts, Kerr dated Low, a financier involved in a high-profile corruption case, between her 2013 divorce from Orlando Bloom and her current marriage to Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel.

 

Along with film producer Riza Aziz (the stepson of Prime Minister Najib Razak) and several other individuals, Low is accused of spending misappropriated Malaysian government funds on “properties, business ventures, yachts, parties, artwork, clothing, jewelry and other luxuries” in the United States.

 

Court documents filed in New York last year described Low as playing a “central role in both disbursing and personally receiving” the stolen money.

 

Their business ventures included bankrolling the 2013 movie The Wolf of Wall Street via Aziz’s production company, Red Granite, with money funneled through Goldman Sachs. A biopic about boiler-room boss Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, cost $100 million to make and brought in $392 million globally. Last year, the Department of Justice moved to seize the rights to the Oscar-nominated film and recover royalties and proceeds from the film.

 

DiCaprio has already turned over a Picasso painting worth $3.2 million that he received as a birthday gift from Low as well as a Jean-Michel Basquiat collage valued at $9 million, both of which were listed in the June court filing. A spokesman for the actor also told Fortune that the actor returned another gift, an Oscar won by Marlon Brando, that he’d received from Red Granite.

 

Neither Kerr nor DiCaprio is accused of wrongdoing and Low has yet to be charged with a crime.

 

The government also seized the rights to two other films produced by the company, 2014’s Dumb and Dumber To and 2015’s Daddy’s Home.

Blind Gossip websites are useless. They're as reliable as any other tabloid. There is no point in quoting them.

That website was proven 1000x wrong and people still believe it.

To say she can't help it that she got "dragged into" this is not really true in my opinion, Miranda doesn't seem like the type of person who would believe these men are innocent and accidentally got a ton of these jewels. Fairly sure that she knew what was going on or what could be going on. She and MANY other models would have some very interesting "behind the scenes" stories as to what really goes on at these kind of events, parties, shows etc they all go to. I think the general public would be very surprised to hear some of the things that happen there and while it may seem shocking to some, it's not that unheard of in these type of circles.

Oh my goodness I'm still not sure how I feel about the millionaire dude drama and I'm going to keep it that way lol. I barely get involved in drama in real life so I'm not going to bother reading anything about this. But I will say I don't think Miranda is squeaky clean and I just get a vibe from her that she likes money, drama, and attention.

 

I love her blue dress from the even above! She looks so pretty, she reminds me of herself from like 2012 ish.
