I think so too but the level of craze seems to indicate that there’s more to it like it’s a cultural thing for her. Being in America, watching American football, making football Sunday into a thing etc. Fans in the MLS are trying to bring fan culture to soccer in the states, but the NFL, NBA, and MLB still dominate in popularity.

Yes and she said her favourite team is Manchester United. So not alot to celebrate right now.

In general, there are very few NFL fans in Europe. The one exception might be England/Britain and even over there it's mostly due to American expats.

There are far more NBA fans over here than NFL or MLB fans.
