Nice!!!

And your mashed potatoes look very buttery :D.

You just reminded me, the last time in Korea, I passed by a restaurant,

there're some posters with dogs on, distributing some stinky smells.... @_@

What kind of dog do they like to eat? Do you know?

There is a fascinating wikipedia article on the subject..

So apparently, the Korean dog farms raise this type of dog for consumption:

There are so many Nureongi in mainland China, they look really gentle and cute :/

yaya, Happy New Year! Cheers :fun:

Happy New Year everybody :D

I received a 'Japanese gift basket' today. Among the items were a few 'Freeze Dried' Cookies & Cream Ice Cream cones..as in, the type of ice cream astronauts eat...!:D So I had two for the first time.

It has interesting, cookie-yet- not cookie like 'crumble & melt in your mouth' texture but I must say that I prefer ice cream cones before they are 'freeze-dried'. But anything resembling real ice cream is a + :-D

I have not seen 'freeze-dried' ice cream being sold outside of Japanese supermarkets. With real ice cream widely available over here..I can't imagine seeing this product creating too many customers outside of its novelty value. :D

Included in the basket were some of these stick snacks:

Others too, but I'm illiterate in Japanese..

What I love about Japanese packaged goods is the sense of aesthetics that goes into the design of even their most common items- both product & packaging. You won't find that level of detail from other mass producers.

That chocolate mushroom is my fave :D

I always bought it when I was little :hehe:

What are your favorite Japanese packaged snacks? :D

I've had these at one point or another :D:

The wiki implies that they are a 'wilder' sort of canine. I've seen these dogs before in New York and elsewhere...they're just medium sized dogs. As for a livestock dog..well, I was expecting a larger breed :-l
