The whole 2014 has basically been her break from modelling, outside of a few shoots she has largely been spending her time with friends and family enjoying herself. When she shot Marie Claire her name was back out but she didn't do anything to capitalize or follow up on it.

 

Hopefully the work with Revolve and Rosa Cha will motivate her and if anything seeing Stella getting more and more attention from VS may get her back into more consistent work.

I have the same opinion but saying that again and again will change nothing. Certainly she never will be an actress or a singer like she´s thinking. For me she isn´t a model anymore. She is just a pretty girl. Her pretty face will not save her and I think she isn´t an unique face how everybody think. I said it before but look at Vivien Pinter. She looks like Barbara and has a better body and loreal discover her. With a break I don´t mean that she should make party and so on like this year. I mean she should work for her look and think about this year. And I think like Lilye.Fenty she wouldn´t deserve it to be a part of VS or big brands. There are so many model working their ass off.

i'm ok with the fact that MAYBE she wants to take a break with modeling but.... seriously guys, she can't even allow herself to do that because she's already so down.... modeling will not wait after her and let's be true with that she won't be an actress, she maybe really want it but i'm not so sure about that. There as so many beautiful girls who wait their turn like i already said more than once before, and the biggest model are their because they are WORKING. That's what make difference between pretty girl and model, she think her pretty face will give her everything but the fact is she has everything to make her buisness going well and now she has nothing but little contract with brand we don't even know about, she's more concerned about making the "buzz" being like those stupid famous celebrity with no skills...  and i'm sorry but she is now so, congrats to her. I remember the time i loved her and thinks she was actually going to be one of  the next angel and i was like sure she'll had a great  future in the industry but well i change my mind a lot beause i  got to see change to a hardworking models to a lazy girl who don't even work, sometimes i wonder if she's not travelling around just to  create the illusion that she still working.... lol but if i was her i'll be very careful cause now it's been 2 years with like nothing but little event and shooting for little brand i don't think there's a coming back  she ruin herself and let the opportunity to others models who really wants to push her in the dark, now she's she should be very careful with the money she had left and try to think seriously about what she's gonna do (related to modeling or not.)

People need to stop criticizing and let people be as they want to be. If Barbara doesn't want to model anymore is her decision, if her want a break too. Since the first time I came here I assumed that this page is dedicated to upload information about Barbara, fans around the world who support her, appreciate her work and more. I don't think the idea is to come to discuss her choices in life or what she want for her future.

I think we are jumping the gun here. If she wants to end her career she can and if she wants to continue then let's see what she is willing to do. Everyone has downslopes in their career. Yeesh, this is a bit much.

No No No... Vivien Pintér bears zero resemblance to Barbara ...with her heavy eyebrows she looks more like Cara ...esp when she has dark eye makeup ...The only person who really looks like Barbara Palvin is Barbara Palvin....and Natalia Vodianova......even a young Brooke Shields doesn't look like her to me....

The point I am making is that I absolutely do not believe that she is taking this so-called break in Budapest,Hungary because it is her own personal choice...I do not believe all this crap about "she is taking a long ,extended break because she must be really exhausted..she has been working since she was a young teen"...I think the real reason it looks like she is taking a break  is because no A+ list reputed fashion/beauty house or designer wants to work with her...other than the odd random editorial or D+ list brand here and there  and the obligatory L'Oreal Paris stuff there hasn't been anything on the horizon....no one is knocking at her door..

I think she is desperate to work (she went to Ibiza to work with L'Officiel Paris didn't she).......just nobody is hiring her....plus why would you take a break at the very  point when you are really popular and famous in the social media ...a career that you have worked  for since you were just 13...why just give up all that hard work it took to get you here...makes no sense...she has NO  substance issue problems  like other famous models( Kate Moss) who actually need to take a break for rehab etc ....so Barbara taking this long career break at this point seems so ill planned and ill timed...esp for a model who is booked by IMG ..the biggest modelling agency in the world.

 

Plus 2 years ago when she was at her peak TPTB at Victoria's Secret may have thought that she was a great investment to make and worth the airfare and accommodation fees to fly her from Hungary and put up in NY  hotels ,for their seasonal campaigns but those days as we can see are so obviously over and Barbara must be in major denial and utterly deluded if she actually thinks that she is such hot stuff that she can still live in Budapest with her family and maintain a modelling career as a super model at the same time ...she can't and she won't.

Why take all that pain when there are a dime a dozen gorgeous models already living in NY....VS is not the loser here...if you want to be a successful person in any industry you better be prepared to make big sacrifices....and Barbara is not prepared to do that...she is killing her career by staying in Hungary....she is not 10 ...she doesn't need a baby sitter..she is almost 21.....cut the apron strings and move....young ppl leave their homes and go to college and uni all the time when they are just 18/19....

Yes..her figure and her current  hair is holding her back but all her hair needs is some serious tlc,some fresh colour and an amazing haircut...remember how much we complained abt it before Cannes and then it was like suddenly Barbara is a redhead..WOW....her face and eyes are so incredibly beautiful in such a way  that any pop of colour can transform her look very quickly...L'Oreal knows this...that is why they change it every single time they work with her....plus her curves never bothered VS too much esp when they knew that they can photpshop it later...they are massively aware of the power of social media and I am sure they know exactly how much their fans are obsessed with BP and how badly they want her to work with them again...

 

I still have faith in her...at least in her beauty...When done/made up right I think she has the most beautiful face and no one comes close...Pity that her agency/agent is doing so little to promote her...he is managing Karlie Kloss, Barbara Fialdo, Andreea Diaconu ,Devon Windsor and more...I mean Karlie Kloss....Look whre is she is today and look where Barbara is....it's like day and night....

This convo again? It brings nothing but drama to this thread. I don't understand why people can't leave the poor girl (Barbara) alone for once. Maybe she has other interests now and feels as if modeling isn't her main priority anymore. Let her do her thing, it's her life, not ours. She did model since she was a kid, godforbid she craves a break and family time.
