Kick, stamp, hack and elbow the living daylights out of your opponents? Mourinho must think he's still managing at Madrid.

So much for the mooted Arsenal apocalypse last night, Fenerbahce looked absolutely dire.

Lord knows Chelsea needed another attacking midfielder.

It makes no sense to me at all.

Wouldn't that 30 million been better spent on a holding middie?

Right now they have a 35-year old, a Dutch kid and Ramires at that position.

Chelsea love a stock pile. I think even now Mikael Forssell has two years left on his contract!

Willian's agent has played a blinder. Here's hoping for an AVB/Mourinho touchline scrap when Chelsea and Spurs play each other next month.

The José show feels pretty dated to me. I'm surprised it's still on the air. ;)

Poor José, if only those dastardly referees weren't against him, he would have won every single game he has ever been involved in. Fact!

Its okay, Chelsea achieved the moral victory being as they are such a modest, prudent historic underdog club with a top notch academy  :doofywave: You'd never catch them spending a penny that wasn't strictly necessary, not like those gauche superclubs like PSG  :blah:

Prince Henrikh's coronation!

Let's bring Shinji home before tomorrow's done. Moyes doesn't "get it".

A performance with all the hallmarks of the limp surrenders during the second half of last season that ended up costing Martin O’Neill his job. That we still have to resort to a Larsson/Vaughan midfield pairing after making twelve summer signings is, quite simply, terrifying. Massive improvement and/or deadline day blitz urgently required.

But anyway, happy Jim White day, everybody! :cain:

I fear for the life of the SSN Merseyside correspondent currently being surrounded by a large group of 14-year-old hoodies, it's very reminiscent of the scene from 'Shaun of the Dead' where Dylan Moran gets killed.

Stephen Ireland on loan to Stoke, contract expires in the summer anyway so he's gone, gone, gone!
