Is she defiantly taking the job then?

No one knows for sure yet, but she's definitely not been confirmed for it so far - I highly doubt she'll do it to be honest. Especially with her high fashion career really taking off this year, I can't see her taking time out to do a film now.

indeed, i don't want her to do it. i said the same about mandy, just doesn't feel right

I agree with cutebunny I highly doubt she will do the movie because her modeling career is going so well now. No offense to the Transformer people but why the hell would they want a model with no acting experience to be in a movie like that. Are they trying to make it fail before it even comes out?

ahaha I don't think Rosie will take it and neither will Miranda. but its not TOTALLY unlikely...they did work with Michael Bay for that VS commercial not so long ago, so they have talked to each other, I'm sure. in any case, thanks for the news and the animated gifs!

I dont see anything wrong with broading one's horizons, but i agree, mandy & rosie are doing sooooooo well in their modeling gigs, that there is NO need to do a movie, but hey to each their OWN :ninja::ninja:

Megan Fox Replaced with Lingerie Model in "Transformers 3"

By now everyone knows that Megan Fox will not be appearing in "Transformers 3" and that director Michael Bay has been auditioning other beautiful young actresses to replace her as Shia LaBeouf's love interest.

Now, GeekWeek is claiming that they know who - out of the fourteen women vying for the role - has officially been cast. I was kind of hoping it would have been Amber Heard (Pineapple Express), but Bay actually went with the British Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Whiteley doesn't have any movie credits, but apparently looks good in lingerie. Take a look at some pictures below to see for yourself. At this point, her only connection to Hollywood is that she is the girlfriend of Jason Statham (Transporter).

I take it you have never seen Transformers. It's based on an American children's cartoon and features a bunch of giant robots from outer space fighting each other. They just cast pretty looking actors who run around and make the occasional stupid joke, but otherwise it is all CGI robotss fighting each other. Rosie is more than qualified for the role. Hell, the fact she's replacing Megan Fox tells you all you need to know about the acting ability required to do this part. Transformers makes The Cannonball Run look Oscar-worthy. And Huntington-Whiteley's Agent Provocateur commercial is a more impressive example of acting than anything Fox has ever done onscreen.

I think you guys are really underestimating the allure of Hollywood for a young lady. Gisele was the last of the Supermodels and it is highly unlikely they'll ever be another girl that rises to that level of Superstardom by modeling alone. If Rosie wants that kind of fame and glamor, this is the right path. Just look at Tyra Banks, who was a decent enough model but who became pretty well known because of a TV show on a third rate American network. Or for an even more stunning example, look at Heidi Klum. She was a complete zero as a model but nonetheless sometimes gets invited to big deal Hollywood parties and functions just because of that TV show she did on Bravo and she is better known to the public than Rosie and pretty much all the top 10 models working today (Gisele excepted if you consider here to be "still working") even though she was never even in the Top 100 as a model during any point in her career.

Transformers 3 is going to make a half a billion dollars and be seen by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. This is going to make Rosie a huge star in a way she could never achieve in years of modeling.

I stand by what I say so take it or leave it. Anyway did Rosie delete her facebook or is it just not working? I go to the link and it says it cant find the page.

^THIS = Perfection? 1000% agree

if rosie is in transformer 3 i am going to watch it. hope this does not ruin her modeling career, hope it gets better for her modeling career

FUCK YES!

At least if she can't act, she has a good reason for it. She doesn't go around calling herself an actress!

Rosie > Megan

I want her to be a model, not a star or a film whore.

Wow, I'm glad that that is how a lot of Europeans see American Cinema. Taking a roll in a major action flick highly anticipated by not only America but by a large group of fans around the world is far from a step down for her, it's a big step up. This could, (if it happens to be true) be a great asset to Rosie's career. If she chooses to pursue acting it opens a lot of doors that modeling never will. For the most part models don't age gracefully in the industry, they have a shelf life, an expiry date, and with the crowds Rosie has been associating with that shelf life shortens. This could be exactly what she needs to get the major boost and the next step in her life.

Regardless you're free to feel however you want, but our wants don't really factor into her career choices.. Personally I hope she gets the roll.. But that's one in the fans eye on my part.

To be honest I don't see why there's so much opposition towards Rosie getting that part. I think she's the only woman who can nail this one. No offence to Megan Fox, but she's a microwave compared to Rosie, who could probably burn a hole through the screen by just being there.

For Rosie this would be just a detour. A fun sideproject that doesn't interfere, maybe even boosts the main current in her life that is modeling. And why not? There are so many girls out there competing with eachother in the modeling business. She might as well get her face out there.

And let's be honest here, she's not the first:

Adriana Lima did a short movie with Clive Owen and Mickey Rourke when she was just starting to boom in the modeling business. Alessandra had a short cameo in Casino Royale. Gemma Ward had a big role in an Indie film. I mean, what's the fuss?

I want her to be a model, not a star or a film whore.

That's a bit hypocritical, isn't it? So an actress (whatever her acting ability) is inferior to a model and therefore a 'film whore'? Models usually bare a lot more than those B actresses. Models go on ads looking provocative and sexy. Models get their money parading around in lingerie. 15-year olds do artsy almost nude photoshoots in the name of fashion. I mean, I like Rosie, she looks fantastic, but I do not hold her profession in higher regard than acting.

Anyway, some eyecandy to balance out my ramble.

I just don't want this to hurt her career in the long run. Thats all I care about. If she does it then I'll watch of course and if she doesn't then we all can move on.

Wait you don't want Rosie to be a star or a film whore as you put it, yet you like Julie Ordon and Josie Maran... both of whom have been in several movies... are they models, or film whores?

I seriously hope Rosie gets this part and puts the modeling behind her in a couple of years.

The reason I hope she continues in modelling is I think she has much more potential with it than acting. Acting is a much more competitive field, and unless she turns out to have some amazing undiscovered talent (which if she did I feel she'd have been an actress already), then she will always be stuck with the roles given to her just because of her looks, not serious actress roles which we see the A-listers getting.

With modelling, she can rely on her looks, and whilst they won't last forever I think she has much further to go in the modelling world. We've seen her come on leaps and bounds this year alone and if she goes down the acting route I fear we may see an end to her high fashion modelling days to become a one hit wonder actress (just look what's happened to Megan Fox). The only model I can think who's successfully continued in high fashion after acting is Gisele, but she'd already secured her supermodel status beforehand unlike Rosie. I'd rather see her continue modelling for now and really reach her potential, maybe turning to acting in 5 or so years time. I'll still be a huge fan of her whatever she does, I just hope she makes whatever turns out to be the right decision for her in a few years time.

they have a shelf life, an expiry date

after the expiry date I don't care what she does, until then I hope she goes on modeling full-time.

And I don't like to hear british accents in the movies

(except for

)

Yes. :)

I lost my interest in Josie and i'm disappointed that Julie wastes her time acting (but I'm afraid she wouldn't get more modeling work anyway).
