October 13, 200816 yr Cowboys and Redskins losing + Eagles win + Browns pulling a miracle tonight + Phillies winning the World Series = me finally satisfied with Philadelphia sports
October 14, 200816 yr ^ Part of your wish has been granted! The Browns socked it to the Giants, and Romo could be out for an entire month with a broken pinkie finger. If you're using some sort of hex, I'd like to learn it.
October 14, 200816 yr I think its karma forrealz. This past week ive had these itchy little bumps all over me. So this is what i get in return for the itching

October 22, 200816 yr ^ Mehhh, they got lucky with the Bronco's QB hurting his finger. But now the Pats have lost Rodney Harrison to a possibly career-ending injury, so they might not be doing too well in the future. Suddenly Brady's injury doesn't seem too bad in comparison.
October 22, 200816 yr Now not re-signing Asante Samuel seems dumber than ever . And they may have been lucky for Cutler's hurt finger, but Bronco's defense still sucks . Now the most exciting team in the league *chokes* (Titans) on the other hand are 6-0 because the defense is awesome .
October 27, 200816 yr ^ google is your friend If you people havent heard about Polamalu's comments about the NFL becoming a "pansy" game I strongly agree. Of course some late hits are ridiculous and make me angry to see that someone would be so stupid, but just for example in the Eagles game today, Trent Cole put a great hit on and sacked Matt Ryan. They flagged him after they saw Ryan had been a little shaken up. It was such a clean, good football hit. Makes me fuckin angry when you play hardnosed tough football the way its supposed to be played and you get flagged and even fined for it.
October 27, 200816 yr ^ As a Ravens fan, I sooo know what Polamalu was talking about: just knick the QB after he's thrown the ball and that defender will immediately be BURIED in yellow flags. Or in terms of what I've seen a lot of lately, if a receiver drops a ball and gets hit by like the cornerback a split-second later, you can't flag that as a personal foul/unnecessary roughness when in all likelihood the corner couldn't see he lost the ball or couldn't stop in time if he did see it, but they flag it anyway. Refs don't seem to be officiating so much as just flagging, which explains all the bad calls lately and all the mystery penalties. But what really makes me think the NFL is getting too pansy-ish is how they penalize things that don't hurt anyone. For example, in the Saints/Chargers London game, one of the Saints's WRs did one of those soccer-style slides in celebration of a TD and he was penalized FIFTEEN YARDS for it. That's the same level of penalty for a horse-collar tackle, which is one of the most dangerous things in the game! That's insane! Gooddell or however you spell his name needs to get fired for what he's doing to the NFL. As a sidenote, isn't it funny that all the teams with truly brutal defenses are in the Mid-Atlantic? who's mcnair?
