2020 SI Swimsuit
Stakeholders (& Twitter activists) are never content. Most of them only want to subdue powerful folks (the "cause" being a cover-up). As for the real people (whatever their gender, orientations, origins, etc.), they don't care about activists and gurus (that they never chose or voted for), they just want to enjoy nice pictures of pretty women in swimsuits, without being lectured by multi-million dollar corporations or anonymous bullies on twitter. Unfortunately for us, the little guys, it's 2020, the year where vocal bullies reign supreme. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32614222/ Yes, I'm sure they did.

2020 SI Swimsuit
The woke part of the magazine is bad. Last year was already bad, but they have to go further each time, that's what the mobs demand on twitter. That's 2020 for you. Nothing surprising, it's just a perpetual fall to the bitter end. ------------------------ Anyway, I felt like posting this here. This magazine used to be glorious. Now, even if there are some good things (like Emily's pictures ), it's just the shadow of its former self.

@SuperG.Girl Do you know/like Aznavour?- Camille Kostek
Thanks Clauds. She's really cute, one of my favorite models from this issue and last year's. She has a cheerful smile and wonderful freckles. Some of her swimsuits are a bit weird (particularly the orange one), but all in all, it's a nice set. https://swimsuit.si.com/video/si-swimsuit-2020-camille-kostek- 2020 SI Swimsuit
^ That doesn't mean that it will save this magazine (this whole thing is pretty much done), but, maybe, they wanted to send positive vibes to people that liked this magazine when it was glorious.- 2020 SI Swimsuit
Yup, but only part of this issue is like this. For the other part, they tried to do it the old-fashioned way. That's why they brought back models like Emily Didonato. Kelsey, Camille, Olivia, Vita, Robin and a couple of others are also part of the "old-fashioned" sub-division. All in all, it's not as bad as I imagined it would be. I'm actually positively surprised by many pictures, though, as you say, it seems that they didn't spend a lot of money (the photography looks quite cheap at times).- 2020 SI Swimsuit
Yup, I like the fact that Emily is back. Totally worth it.- Emily Didonato
She's great. I like her pictures for SI. Also, this:- 2020 SI Swimsuit
Well, both of these photoshoots are also pretty decent. The pictures aren't perfect, but both models are pretty good and the swimsuits are actually very nice. It's like there are two sub-parts in this year's issue: the old way and the... "new" way. Also, I really like Emily Didonato's picture. Thanks for all the uploads (to you and the other uploaders).- 2020 SI Swimsuit
How are things going? Is winter coming? @RIP_Cabrini_Green- 2020 SI Swimsuit
Vita and Camille's photoshoots are actually pretty decent. So, there can be a couple of good surprises in an arid desert. For the rest, well, it mostly looks and sounds like this:- 2020 SI Swimsuit
^ Oh, that's the model that used to suffer from anorexia, then bulimia and several eating disorders. Hmm, she's the "role model" once again this year. I don't blame the poor girl. It's the higher-ups in this magazine that have completely lost it (and it's not new).- Interesting Graphs/InfographicsMaps/Etc thread
Interesting. I like philosophies from the Far East. Possibly because they're exotic, but also because of some very interesting teachings, like the union of mind and body. That's one of the main reasons I practise Japanese martial arts. Also, I don't fully agree with what they say about Kantianism. The categorical imperative is one of the most overestimated concepts and it has many flaws (not just because it reeks of moral order). Nietzche's criticism of Kant is one of the most interesting. IMO, there are too many Kantians in the West and that's one of the many reasons that 2020 is a messed-up year (BTW, Kant was a virgin... just sayin' )- "Model or Actress?
