Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2009 (POST-SHOW Thread)
Why does every VS show from the last decade have its own sub-forum? Seems completely pointless to me.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2009 (POST-SHOW Thread)
At this point Victoria's Secret just needs its own series on MTV to successfully complete its transition into anti-matter.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2009 (POST-SHOW Thread)
Can't be bothered, the last two were awful, and all the pictures I've seen indicate another heap of garbage. To screw up such an awesomely simple premise is pretty ridiculous, really.

Forgotten Greats of the Beautiful Game
Boban was incredible and I'm not just referring to his always delightful facial hair. The Croatia side for the '98 World Cup was, by and large, a joy to watch and were it not for Lili Thuram, who knows what might have been?

It sure is. What a glorious shot of Matthew Broderick in one of his best ever roles, as Colonel Robert Gould Shaw. If you're ever down on Beacon, do please visit the Shaw monument!

I'm not sure even the scumbags at Fifa can rig this so that South Africa are guaranteed a second round spot. Were they go to go through, they'd still end up losing to Denmark or some other 'tactically efficient' team, anyway. Such excitement! Unfortunately I fear the looming barrage of smug corporate multi-nationalism that will no doubt infest the competition's commercial breaks. This particularly pleased with itself advert seems to have been regrettably re-introduced in anticipation of the draw. The worst one ever, which I couldn't find on YouTube, was from 2006, for Rogers cellphones. I won't describe it in detail, but let's just say it left a distinctly How I Met Your Mother type of vibe in the air.

The Beatles didn't rest on their laurels and actively sought out different influences, be it from drug culture, Indian culture, the art scene, etc and wrote great songs from it. Nobody handed it to them all on a plate, they went out searching, earning the right to record with total freedom and with the best technology. That said, if Chinese Democracy by Guns n' Roses was recorded in 1967, it'd still not be a very good album even if nothing else at the time sounded like it. Qball, what are you playing in these compositions? I listened to the second one and pretty much agreed with everything Baby said.

Incredible picture, thank you so much for posting it. The exhibition in Seoul, right, its all coming back to me now. So glad I bumped this thread, you guys rock.- Daul Kim
As illuminating as her blog may appear, and as many quotes from friends, family, colleagues as we may end up reading, the simple truth is that we don't know the ins and outs of this particular scenario, and may never know. We have an overview, that's probably as much as we need.- Daul Kim
Damnit, I was hoping it wouldn't come to that.- Daul Kim
Reeyo, you got those candids I'm after?- Daul Kim
I need some candid picture help, please. Daul at some art exhibition, possibly 2008. Can't remember the details, just that my old avatar came from there.- Daul Kim
Kind of lame how not many people care. If Marisa Miller stubbed her toe this place would probably go into meltdown.- Leighton Meester
I think this about sums it all up.- Song you hate most
The whole of Graceland by Paul Simon. Sub-"world music" naval gazing nonsense, the kind later "perfected" by Sting, mixed in with Simon's usual inane lyrics. Was he trying to be a rubbish Peter Gabriel or a terrible Randy Newman? Because he ends up as both.- Forgotten Greats of the Beautiful Game
^He fell out with everyone - Passarella, Bielsa, Bilardo. Our only coach he ever liked was Coco. What a waste for los albicelestes... <_< Would I be right in thinking that Redondo initially fell out with Passarella when he told him to cut his hair? ^That's what the (somewhat hysterical ) press said at the time but - bearing in mind most of our team was pretty heavy on the long, lank, and greasy persuasion - that woud be a bit rich... I think it was more a refusal of Redondo's to play in a certain position. Yes. I once saw Aloisi score twice in one of the worst games I've ever been to, a 1-4 home defeat to Coventry. Even now I sometimes wake up in sweats, screaming his name. Oh God the pain. - Daul Kim
