The editing needs to save Josephine or she’ll end up getting embarrassed on TV! Her walk with her knees bent makes her look like an amateur who can’t walk in heels. I recommend showing her only from the chest up, maybe a back shot and some details like the boots. Too bad she opened the segment because editors will need to show her full entrance…

And yes to the audience needing to be closer to the runway to get that intimate feel again. I wonder if the people in the audience could even see the models or were they blurry ants on a big stage. I miss the time when it felt like whoever got wings “owned” those wings from then on. If they need to go with themed costumes, they should choose themes that are inherently sexy like flight attendants. If you have to think about how to make some concept sexy, don’t bother.

Yes to them needing to build more sets again. This year only one segment looked good, the one with the pillars. Otherwise it was very dark, just a black background for the models. Makes the show look cold and the stage very big and empty. Past shows created that sexy, fun, sensual, and glamorous feel with the sets as well.

VS’ official jump the shark moment was when they started to recycle wings. Why? Because WINGS are what made the show special in the first place. When other brands copy the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows, they put wings on their models. Also recycling shoes from past shows cheapened the brand and made it less prestigious.

Yes, apparently Lily at least requested/suggested that she would get Magdalena’s outfit, so they switched outfits like the day before the show. But I dunno if she has been able to choose what she wants to wear based on sketches or the finished products before they start assigning the outfits to specific models in fittings.

Yes, I’ve read before that Heidi would choose her outfits and the biggest wings. But I think when you are the no. 1 Angel, that’s a privilege you’ve earned. She’s one of the best walkers with big wings. And maybe as she got older, she felt like she couldn’t just wear whatever VS would throw at her and still look perfect like the younger ones. I know Tyra did not want to show her ass, so she always had something covering it such as a skirt or a train.

Thank you for the video, @Fashionsketcher! Candice is giving me Gisele vibes with looking down at the runway! A great opening, I don’t understand the criticism. Love Ale and Lily together. Bella has a great outfit that fits her, body on point. I like the swagger in her walk. Jasmine seems to be the forgotten Angel this year.
