This is starting to look fairly promising, though of course, only time will tell if it can live up to the standard set by its predecessors. The rumoured 'silver age' direction was my biggest reservation, so it's quite the relief to see imagery and screenshots that still retain the 'Arkham' feel. Paul Dini not being involved could still be a pretty big drawback, but I'm feeling a bit better about Rocksteady's absence - they've already laid such fantastic foundations that any new developer would have to be stark raving mad to try and turn the game upside down now. Black Mask looks pretty darn impressive too...

Perhaps understandably, plot details are being kept under wraps at the moment, but it sounds like an incredibly ambitious project. Matthew McConaughey is confirmed now, with Anne Hathaway rumoured to be involved too.

Games like that remind me why I love football. Is there any right-thinking neutral out there not currently pulling for Dortmund in the Champions League?

New Queens of the Stone Age. 2013 is definitely the year of the comebacks.

I haven't even made it to Monument Island yet, but I'm already loving it. The first glimpse of Columbia's streets was absolutely awe-inspiring.

The first 'TV spot' for the movie has been released. It includes a quick glimpse of Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
  9. We do strongly encourage posting pics rather than links, although we don't have any hard and fast rules about it at the moment. It's possible that could change, but a lot will depend on how it goes in the future. Quite honestly, I think we'll probably see more textlinking of Twitter photos, as it appears to be more difficult to just right click and save them these days. While not ideal, I think it's more desirable than hotlinking.

Best Coast + Blondie ÷ 'Christmas Wrapping' style vocals = brilliant. Who knew?

I've had my personal assistant* clear my schedule and hope to dive into it tonight. Can't wait.

It was a nice enough adventure that did a good job of showcasing the chemistry between the two leads, but it did seem to end on a bit of a 'hmmm...' kind of moment. I was expecting a lot more exploration of who Clara is. Still, I'm sure there's more to come. Let's see how it goes tonight.

My new ultimate dream this season is for all of Stoke's remaining opponents to band together between now and May, and perform a public service by relegating them.

It's difficult to see it as anything other than a 'hail mary' play by Short, but I suppose all you can do as a fan at this point is cross your fingers and hope for the best. If Di Canio can fire a rocket up the players, scrape a win or two and drag us out of danger with time to spare, fantastic. If relegation should happen and we go down fighting, then I'd probably prefer to be in the depressing environment of the Championship with him than some old-school dullard like McLeish or McDermott. Of course, there's a good chance we'll just completely crash and burn too, but we'll have to cross that bridge if and when we come to it. One thing's for sure, it won't be boring.

Terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought. I’ve already seen countless Sunderland managers come and go, but quite honestly, this departure has upset me more than any other, not least because I really, really liked O’Neill. He seemed to have all the right credentials to take us forward, his presence was a breath of fresh air after Bruce and his well-documented childhood affinity with the club was an added bonus. Hard to say where it all went wrong - although it seems too throwaway just to say that he's lost it or that he's no good without his mate John Robertson, anyone who's watched us at any point this year would have seen a team with some very obvious and very serious shortcomings, and while the timing could hardly have been worse, Short must have been incredibly spooked at seeing a seven-point safety cushion go up in smoke within the space of six days. So here we are again, flying straight into the unknown, holding what could turn out to be a get out of jail free card or a one way ticket to the Championship. Despite a good few years' experience with this kind of nonsense, I'm completely clueless with regard to what or who's going to happen next.

I'm not altogether sure when Green Day initially broke, but yeah, I'd wager that Primal Scream are a fair bit older. Their career took off in the early-to-mid eighties and before that, Bobby was the drummer in The Jesus and Mary Chain.

^Like the sound of that one! (Y) Don't know them, but I like this a lot! What's Anna Calvi doing these days by the way? She's gotta be due for something new soon Heard a while back (probably around Christmas time-ish?) that Anna was heading into the studio to record her new album, but as far as I can tell, there's still no clue on when it might be out. There's quite a nice (not to mention free) little collection of odds and ends currently on offer to those who sign up to her official mailing list, though. I've been looking forward to the Savages album since this double a-side single came out about six months ago, and it sounds like it's finally going to arrive in the middle of May. They're a storming live act too.
