^Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Quite the change from the Behati you usually see. It was a fun song, too.

So near yet so far for Arsenal. Clearly, they're better than their first leg showings against Bayern and Milan last year, but neither are they as good as the second leg results might suggest. In truth, they're somewhere in the middle. Still, the fans can always cheer on Emmanuel Eboue in the next round, while Man City fans can shout for Roque Santa Cruz.

Nice to have you back.

BioShock Infinite
Don, do you think the 'Industrial Revolution' DLC pack would be worth having? It's currently on offer to folks who pre-order, but I'm not sure if it's enough of an incentive for me to bite just yet.

Metal Gear Solid
So, 'Revengeance' (cringe) finally landed. Truth be told, I've started to think of it as more of a back burner title than a must-have in recent months, though I'm sure I'll be picking it up sooner or later. Anyone planning to give it a shot?

My copy is winging its way to me as we speak. Can't wait to give it a whirl.

Comeback single by The Virgins. File under 'miles better than it has any right to be'.

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)
Another new trailer for STID has been released. It's rather vague in terms of plot details but it's pretty action-packed, with Kirky boy reprimanded for breaking Starfleet rules and the crew venturing underwater, where they encounter a sea monster. Last week, it was announced that the movie has been pushed forward to May 9th, eight days earlier than originally planned.

Fantastic! Caught me completely off guard and made my day in one fell swoop. Everyone's 'doing a Bowie' these days.

And so, Sunderland continue to do what Sunderland do best - capitulate. On paper, we have the makings of a reasonable first eleven, but I honestly believe that some of those players just couldn't care less. It's okay, I'll turn up, go through the motions and pick up my £50k a week (or whatever) and an extra bonus if we get a corner. That seems to be the mentality, and I'm sick to the back teeth of it. Now, needless to say, the Norwich game is an absolutely massive one. It's vital that we pick up a win ahead of Man United's visit to the SoL and trips to Chelsea and Newcastle - anything less and the threat of relegation once again becomes all too real.

I wasn't saying Nani showed intent to maim, I was saying that he couldn't have realistically expected to leap kung-fu style, pluck the ball out of the air and remain completely unchallenged. In games against teams of Real Madrid's quality, being granted that sort of time and space simply doesn't happen.

If you launch yourself at an opponent with studs showing, you're crossing a line - especially in the current climate. Nani was reckless, and the ref made a harsh but correct call. What I'd be interested to know is whether Nani going down as if injured (which you'll often see when a player knows he's in trouble and wants to deflect attention) swayed the ref's decision in any way or gave him more time to deliberate. Pure speculation on my part of course, but he may have had a chance of escaping the red card had he got straight back to his feet afterwards.

Assassin's Creed series
I used to have 'Escape from Monkey Island' on my (now dearly departed) old laptop. The 'insult arm wrestling' matches were works of unfiltered genius.

Music of 2013
This might be slightly old news (it was uploaded at the beginning of February), but I've just seen it for the first time - a beautifully atmospheric short film by Beach House, with live performances of four tracks from 'Bloom'.

This guy has caught my ears quite a bit recently - puts me in mind of some of the older Mercury Rev stuff.

Tomb Raider 2013
They do have a tendency to overrate games, but there are countless other sites out there that I trust less.

Bet AVB had a bit of a laugh (in his detuned radio voice) looking at the Premier League table last night. A deserved poke in the eye for Chelsea and particularly for the press, whose pathetic stories of crisis during his first few months at Spurs are now conspicuous by their absence.

Star Wars
I believe George Lucas's official biographer was given access to a whole bunch of additional stories years ago, supposedly with enough material for as many as six more movies included. But it seems unlikely that he'll be closely involved in making this new one, he’s supposedly sworn off ‘Star Wars’ forever.
